Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Liquid Metal Eyeliner Trio Review & Swatches
This Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Liquid Metal Eyeliner Trio was launched a few months ago but I just recently tried it out so I decided to finally review it.
Unfortunately, I stink at liquid lining but I picked it up as I was thinking some of the shades would act great as a liquid eyeshadow.
Here’s a few thoughts!
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Liquid Metal Eyeliner Trio are available in traditional Smoky Eyes and this set here that I have, Nude Eyes.
Each set comes with three shades of eyeliner that promise 14 hours of wear. I’m not really an expert on liquid eyeliner but I muck about with them a fair bit as I’m always trying to perfect my cat eye. I find Physicians Formula version a little challenging to work with. For example, the black has excellent pigment but it has a slow setting time which means if I blink chances are I’ll smudge it before it has a second to dry down. Secondly, the rather floppy thin brush isn’t for n00bs like myself. I find you need a straight, dense brush for liquid eyeliner application…a floppy brush is going to just make your job harder. Wear time varies but on my drier eyes they wear decently for about four hours before I see minor flaking at around hour five or six. It’s not a bad flaking but you’ll notice it peels up a little and starts to fall onto cheeks.
I didn’t buy them for lining though…I did buy them to use as eyeshadow. The black isn’t great for this but the other two shades Nude and Champagne make lovely sparkling liquid cream eyeshadows. You apply them with the included brush, pat into place, and presto metallic sparkling eyelids!
I do so likey a good liquid cream eyeshadow.
