Prestige Flawless & Ready BB Beauty Balm BB Cream

Prestige Flawless & Ready BB Beauty Balm ($11.50) recently launched in drugstores for Spring 2013. This is the first BB Cream Prestige has launched and it’s available in two shade selections.

It’s probably one of the better BB Creams I’ve tried that launched at the drugstore however, the coverage is still a little too sheer in comparison to Asian formulas.

Take a look!

Prestige Flawless & Ready BB Beauty Balm

Prestige Flawless & Ready BB Beauty Balm is an oil-free formula with an SPF 15 available in Light and Medium shades. Unfortunately this is more of a tinted moisturizer than a true BB Cream formula. If you can get past that it’s actually an excellent formula which provides sheer, lightweight coverage with a dewy finish that brightens skin and conceals minor skin discolorations and unevenness.

This has a thinner gel consistency which absorbs easily into skin and leaves behind a soft to the touch finish that’s slightly dewy. The texture is delightful and it applies as easily as any good tinted moisturizer. It provides a little hydration so during the warmer weather you can easily use it as your moisturizer and your base. Coverage is sheerer but I’m delighted with how well it brightens up my skin, easing dullness, and evening out skin tone. It basically applies like a higher end tinted moisturizer at half the price. I’d say it’s comparable to Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer but with a thinner consistency.

Unfortunately, the BB Cream in the name is misleading as if you’re expecting pigmented coverage it does fail here. However, if you desire lighter coverage with some brightening this will definitely do the job.

Light and Medium

I’d recommend it to those seeking natural, lighter coverage. It won’t be fitting for those with imperfections they wish to conceal like acne scarring, dark spots, etc…but those who already have fairly good skin that needs a little boast and pick me up this provides just the coverage to perfect already good skin.

The price is just right as well at $11.50 or less (bet Harmons will have it for $9.99).

I’m definitely sad it doesn’t provide the coverage of a true BB Cream. I’m trying to be last judgmental when I review these newer generation BB Creams here in the US so as a tinted moisturizer this works fantastically and the launch is just in time for the warmer weather ahead when we desire lighter coverage.

It’s available now at drugstores or online at www.prestigecosmetics.com

I have this BB cream and I was surprised at how nice it is. It definitely is my everyday base. But I have Prom coming up and I was wondering what you would recommend. My skin is normal/combination and in pretty good shape. A friend suggested Garnier BB cream but it made my skin an oily mess. I don’t want to use any of the Asian BB creams because they aren’t aproved in the US.

I really love Dior’s BB Cream Elizabeth, the Diorsnow one, excellent coverage, brightens, and just has a flawless perfect finish! 🙂

It has SPF which I’ve heard is bad for photo’s. I’m thinking of getting NYX HD foundation as it has no SPF. Slightly sheer coverage isn’t a problem as I don’t like heavy foundation.

You could try Diorskin Nude’s BB cream – it’s light coverage but I find it makes me look amazing, and it only has SPF10 so you won’t get flashback in photos.

yes elle as I have drier skin but could possibly get away without in the warmer weather 🙂

Ooh do want… If you don’t mind me asking, which in your opinion do you think would be better for a yellow-y NC25?

Would you say you prefer this over the loreal magique, maybelline and rimmel bb creams?
