Aqualillies for Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes! Waterproof Mascara

Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara is available in limited edition packaging for Summer 2013 as it released with the Aqualillies for Tarte Summer 2013 Collection ($19).

If I had to settle down and go with one mascara for the rest of my natural life it would have to be Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes (or in this case splashes) Mascara as it delivers the most dramatic lashes of my makeup life.

Take a look!

Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes! Waterproof Mascara Summer 2013

This little guy is a best seller for a reason as Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes! Waterproof Mascara is not only the perfect Summer time companion for long wear sans smudging or flakes and all about long wear but also because it gives some of the most dramatic lashes around!

This re-formulated mascara is Tarte’s answer to a waterproof version of their best selling Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara the likes of which I bet you have a few of if you shop the Q (as they tend to include it in many Tarte special value sets!).

Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes! Waterproof Mascara

Volume, length, curl…we got all that! This blacker than black formula with a spiky applicator pulls lashes up and out for a curled up effect while lengthening them and provide great volume so lashes look fuller, longer, and curled with a natural waterproof agent so they stay that way without smudging all day!

It’s one of the more dramatic mascaras I own and I know many of you adore it too! If you’re looking for dramatic lashes this is one you NEED!

Do share your thoughts on it.

Sweet, I have been looking for a good waterproof mascara for my friends wedding in July since I know I’m going to be tearing up a lot haha

  • Sylvia

    • the Muse

How is the packaging limited edition? The box? I love that print– was hoping they’d have it on the tube, too!!
I love the Aqualillies collection– my only complaint is that I wish there were more items, haha!

    • the Muse

yeah just the box…I kinda wish it was extended to the mascara tube too! 🙂 ME TOO! like a massive palette or something ;-D

I’m dying to try Tarts new lights, camera, FLASHES mascara. Have you tried it yet?

  • Brandy

I love the way this “lifts” your lashes! May buy this for my wedding!

I am one of the only who can’t wear this or the normal version. Both smudge on me and I don’t apply them to lower lashes. I have 3 or 4 minis of both versions and they are no go. Sad really. 🙁

  • Coco

I love reading your reviews! Everytime I go on your blog it’s like 45 minutes gone lol

I’m just wondering if you could compare this to any Japanese drugstore mascaras which are reputed for being both dramatic and long-wearing e.g. Dollywink, Heroine Kiss, Majolica Majorca?

    • the Muse

hey coco, mmmm I think Japanese mascaras have a lighter texture comparison and create more fluttery longer lashes in my experience. I’ve reviewed a ton of MJ mascaras as well as Heroine Kiss you can find in the archives 🙂

Have you tested this in water? I’m wondering how it would hold up for a pool or beach trip.
