the Muse Loves P&G

I was compensated by a brand or company but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

P&G Beauty

I never really do favorite posts around here even though readers constantly ask me what are some of my favorite products. I think as a beauty junkie you’ll agree favorite products change OFTEN. Let’s be honest with ourselves, half the fun of finding a product we love is cheating on it with something new. We all moan about the fact that we wish we could find our holy grail concealer or our holy grail blusher. What we really mean is, “This adventure of finding my holy grail product is so fun I never want it to end!”

But sometimes products make a lasting impression on us and we end up using them daily and they become a part of our beauty regime right from the get go and stick around because we haven’t found anything as good as those faithful much loved products.
P&G sent me a Best of Beauty Box and here are some of mine!

Tide To Go
Stains happen to me, like ALL the time. I think my shirt gets more action than my mouth when I’m eating. I guess I’m in a rush and I’m constantly dribbling tea on my shirt or worse I get lipstick, foundation, or gloss on a favorite shirt. It happens! That’s why Tide To Go is my secret weapon to swipe away those stains in a flash!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I love my Olay eye gel! It’s not the same as the one in you post though, it comes in a little pot. It never irritates my eyes and feels cool upon application. It keeps my eyes moisturized and makes me look a little more awake in the mornings! It also helps as a base for my concealer.

    • the Muse

hey lori, gotta go google that one. just recently been testing this one out and like it especially since my eyes have been so damn puffy lately, allergies :-/

Tide to go pen is a staple in my bag lol, I can’t tell you how many times it has saved my life. Or at least my shirts.

    • the Muse

omg me too. I also love the little wipes. seriously I spill EVERYTHING on myself! tea, water, whatever I’m eating..I’m a klutz.

      • AnniLau

I’m not a fan of the Tide pen…it seems to bleach out darker colors and yellow lighter ones. I loooove Shout wipes though.

          • kimkats

Oh the wipes rock my universe. The Tide pen is good too – but the wipes… I would be a filthy mess without the wipes! They’ll remove pretty much anything I can slobber on myself. And that’s saying something! 😀

honestly, im not a fan of P&G but i would be if they stopped testing their products on innocent animals.

I’m personally on a P&G boycott, ever since I learned they’re the reason Max Factor has been DCd in the US. While this does apply primarily to cosmetics, the occasional P&G product finds itself in my grocery cart. However, I’ve been trying to find comparable replacements for such items, which has been quite easy; there’s nothing they produce that is so amazing I haven’t been able to replace it (I fold if there’s a good sale *and* I have a coupon for things like laundry detergent, hair dye, etc). As for searching for HG products, I don’t care for the thrill of the hunt; I *really* miss my PanStik foundation & Erace concealer… Fortunately, I bought back-ups a few years back when they were on clearance, and I have enough to last a good 3 years, LOL.

do you know a small pharmacy I shop at still carries Max Factor 😀 it must be old though as it’s been a while since Max Factor was DCed in the US. I used to enjoy it as well! UK still gets really great Max Factor releases which are easy enough to locate on E-bay if you have a particularly hardcore lemming ;-D

    • Malinda Jane

Max Factor and Covergirl are owned by the same company, so a lot of Max Factor products sold in the UK are just marketed by another name in the Covergirl brand but are actually the same product.

    • 18thCenturyFox

Yeah I have refused to use P&G since high school when reports came out regarding their animal testing programs. It’s my 20 year boycott- I’ll stay the course 😉 not a PETA fan by the by just a big anti cruelty person.

    • Trillium

I don’t know if this is helpful or not, but drugstore.com sells some Max Factor items.

  • Nadia

Tide to go is an essential in my bag as well! I ALWAYS get a stain when I eat, especially when I am out. I also use and love the Venus razor!

    • the Muse

lol me too I am SO glad I’m not alone. seriously I get everything on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like the venus too, great razor! Wish they’d do an orange handle for Spring hehe!

  • carrie

Heh..my uncle has worked for p&g for nearly 30 years. Maybe I can get him to send.me some stuff gratis

  • Cindy Ramirez

“if you’ve been hibernating away those hairy legs all winter” LOLOL. You crack me up.

  • Anne

I used to get Max Factor emails and could even by it online at that site, but come to think of it, haven’t gotten one from them in almost a year. I wasn’t aware it was DCd. But in your photo you showed what looked like a lip gloss, but it’s not mentioned in the blog, what was that product ? I like CG outlast lip colors. I also like Maybelline superstay, which I think stays the longest, heck it’s even lasted through dental work lol The dental assistant ask me what it was haha 😀

I want to love P&G, but I do not because they’re one of many that test on animals (sad face). Trust me, I miss my CoverGirl Lashblast Mascara! But I have to use this opportunity as always to comment and say “Hello, P&G! Please get on PETA’s no-test list, m’kay? <3 Toodles!"
