Too Faced Sweet Sun Shines Lip Glosses

Too Faced Sweet Sun Shines Lipgloss are available in three juicy shades along with the Too Faced Summer 2013 Collection. These little glosses had a later release as originally the Hello Sunshine Collection launched earlier this Spring as a preview for Summer and within a week or so the glosses made a guest starring appearance on the Too Faced website.

Take a peek!

These color packed glosses have a lightweight texture with a silicone-like feel that wraps lips up in a plush hug. They come in three shades that range from popping colors for Summer to a more subtle, natural shade that comes in the form of Mocha Freeze.

Mocha Freeze, Watermelon Ice, Papaya Slushie

The formula has a moisturizing feel through the wear but doesn’t have a traditional shiny, finish but more of a light reflecting one thanks to pearl particles in the formula that sparkle pretty in a certain light. The gel-like texture has a hybrid formula that’s one part balm, one part gloss, and all about moisture.

These aren’t sticky or tacky but still manage to have a solid four hours wear time without slipping or fading away. Color varies from shade to shade but two of the three shades give lips a nice pop of color. They do not contain flavor or fragrance.

My favorite?

Mocha Freeze. This is a dusky mauve pink that gives lips a subtle, natural finish. For more vibrant Summer fun shades check out Papaya Slushie which is a wearable shade of sizzling and Watermelon Ice a bright, funky watermelon.

These are a cute little glosses for the Summer with a fairly long wear and just the right amount of color! A little more glossiness would be nice but this is easily redeemed with a clear gloss on top!

Mocha freeze kind of reminds me of their pillow talk glamour gloss [which is my favorite *_*] so that is the one I’ll probably pick up.

Definitely going to check these out. They look so pretty on you, Muse. They seem to have pretty good pigmentation and don’t look too sheer. They’re also on the Ulta website. When I go to Ulta I’ll check to see if they have them in-store. Any word on blushes from Too Faced?

I ordered the new Mac blushes from Nordstrom’s in two shades…..the dirty peach and the bright pink. I didn’t like the dirty peach shade and returned it, but, surprisingly, I did like the pink shade and am keeping it. You know me, I’m the one who doesn’t like shimmer blushes (unless they’re very subtle). The pink shade is so pretty. I don’t see any shimmer and the color is buildable.

I had a hard time getting color from the two shades I tried :( the bright pink did seem pigmented though (didn’t try that one). Yes! True true! BUT didn’t you think they’d be like the MSF? some sort of metallic finish or shimmer? It was odd they were kinda semi-matte satin feeling!

Are these the ones orginally listed at $30? $16 seems much more on par with Too Faced’s price point and quality. They look lovely on you!

I just ordered the coral and the pink shades in the new lipgloss from Ulta’s website. They’re not in store as yet. Can’t wait to get them. Will let you know, Muse, what I think. If they look on me like they look on you, I’ll be a happy camper! LOL
