Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow for Summer 2013

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow

Ahh shimmer me impressed with the new Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows launching for Summer 2013 very, very shortly. These kinda remind me of a revamp of Urban Decay Stardust Eyeshadow at a glance. I haven’t technically swatched or played with them yet but they appear densely packed like the Stardust formula and comparable in some ways to Bobbi Brown Sparkle Shadow.

Of course, that’s just at a glance as I haven’t played with them yet (but will be shortly, can’t resist the shimmer).

Take a look!

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow will launch in seven shades this April as part of the Summer 2013 Collection. Each one is $20 each and they do come in the pop out compacts so you can use them with the Build Your Own Palette Compacts to create your own compact of custom colors combined with other Urban Decay Eyeshadows.

Moondust Eyeshadow have a super refined glittery shadow sans any chunky sparkle or shimmer. The denser texture looks like you’ll be able to apply sans horrifying fall out but I have to test before we know for sure. The micro fine bits of iridescent sparkle are combined with Urban Decay’s pigmented eyeshadow formula to create a lush 3D metallic effect. Urban Decay markets them as a luxurious upscale shimmer shadow with a diamond-like finish.

The texture is supposed to feel like a cream but apply like a powder to create a reflective twinkling eye look. According to them Zodiac, a smoky black with blue green 3D sparkle is all the rage! I love me some green so bring it.

I’ll be testing these out this week and next and bring you a review shortly.

Oh, I just love these, they look absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait till I see some swatches of moonspoon and stargazer 🙂 I’ll be hitting up my (not so local) Sephora soon.

  • Laura

I’m so excited for these! I normally despise glitter, because of the horrible fallout. I’ll be looking out for your review to give me the lowdown on these 🙂

    Zodiac is gorgeous!
Can’t wait to see it on your beautiful baby browns!
    🙂

    I’m loving Diamond Dog!

Curious about the fallout, though. All of the other UD glitter shadows have horrible fallout and I end up looking like a disco ball ._.

I love my one Bobbi Brown Sparkle shadow…wondering how it compares to this!

Im really curious if the ones that have the same names as the old Stardust shadows are identical or not. If they are the same ill be happy to save some $$. 🙂

For me they aren’t new products … I have two Urban Decay STARDUST and are the same of the first two eyeshadow in the picture also have the same names – Moonspoon – Space Cowboy – pigmentation nothing an infinity of glitter flying around everywhere are bad … the packaging is different

paola I’m testing them this week an yes, seems very similar to stardust! little more pigment but about the same thing!
