Almay Longwear & Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Pads Review
Four score and seven years ago the Muse was a younger girl and tried out Almay Longwear & Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Pads. This devil product nearly put me off Eye Makeup Remover for all time. It was greasy, oily, and it blinded me with science…not really science but it was cool to throw that in a sentence.
No seriously, they were so OILY that they ended up giving me trippy eye vision for hours after. I must have been 18ish or so when I first tried them. I had a brief stint working at CVS when I was around 16 or so so it could have been even as far back as that when I originally tried them.
Almay recently launched four new pad eye makeup removers and two new liquid eye makeup removers. I saw the display, quickly shook my head, and walked away from it. Those pads are evil I told myself, you’re still recovering from the last time you used them, remember what an emotional wreck you were after using them that first time? Needless to say curiosity killed the cat but this cat was curious none the less….so I decided to repurchase the Almay Longwear & Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Pads. I mean there was Kate Hudson right on display, smiling at me reassuringly. This must mean they somehow reformulated these pads! No oil, no trippy cloudy vision that makes me want to play I am the Walrus as I stumble from my bathroom to my bedroom….goo goo g’joob indeed.
How are they?
RUBBISH! STAY AWAY for the love of makeup STAY AWAY!
Almay has not revamped the formula so if you hated them before you’ll HATE them again! Don’t buy them please!
I’m dramatic I know but I seriously hate these with a passion. Why I was under the impression they might have somehow improved these is beyond me but I thought maybe by some CHANCE they did.
You might like them, who knows? I simply do not.
I love the idea of a pad saturated with eye makeup remover. It just seems easier ya know? No cotton pads to deal with, no bottles, just a pad already saturated with my eye makeup remover I can swiftly and easily swipe across my eye to remove makeup.
But these are the devil’s work or at the least Crowley’s.
They are just so oily….! And they leave my eyes all greasy and oily and ugh! On top of that they give me super cloudy vision that makes me feel like I just had my eyes dilated. It just feels like I’m using baby oil to remove my eye makeup.
No like Almay!
No like.
Just a friendly warning if you dislike the pads in the pass and are under the illiusion they might be great a second time around, well, don’t go there.
But if you love them and have some redeeming words about these pads I’d LOVE to hear.
Do share!
