Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color Review & Swatches
It’s almost Summer! Time for some sheer, lightweight lipsticks me thinks. Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color ($25) is a newly launched range of what Bobbi calls mistake proof no mirror lipstick. I love you Bobbi but girl, me, applying lipstick of any kind without a mirror….oooo it’s such a mess. I don’t have Molly’s talents Bobbi.
Believe me I’ve tried application without a mirror and typically it ends up on my cheek, my nose, anywhere but my lips.
But…I am all about sheer, subtle lightweight lippies for Summer so your new Sheer Lip Color probably has my heart.
Take a look!
Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color is a super lightweight formula that delivers the texture of a balm to your lips but has the color of a lipstick. They are available in 14 shades that range from lights to brights.
Although promoted as a sheerer lipstick they actually have excellent opaque color coverage and are formulated with shea and murumuru butter so lips are moisturized and hydrated through the wear.
Pink Rose, Nude Beige, Pink Blossom
They have an easy, smooth glide on lips and a buttery texture that’s lighter than Revlon’s Lip Butters and a touch heavier than Maybelline Color Whisper Lipsticks. These are flavorless and fragrance free.
I measure lipstick formula’s worth in how easy they apply on my lips without tugging and these have that gorgeous glide across lips that I favor. The texture reminds me of balm or butter of sorts but wears as long and strong as a lipstick at around four to five hours without eating or drinking. They don’t migrate and they don’t feather even on drier lips so they stick around fresh and vibrant as when I originally applied.
Nude Beige
Pink Blossom
Pink Rose
Although advertised as a sheer lip color, Bobbi Bobbi Sheer Lip Color brings plenty of pigment to the table in a lovely, lightweight formula for Summer wearing. I was surprised Bobbi didn’t fit in some SPF as well since she loves putting sun protection in many of her lip products. Outside of the lack of SPF they are as perfect as perfect can get. Weightless and beautiful to apply color!
Do check these out.
There’s even a shade called Bobbi which is a nude rose…must own that.
