BRTC Jasmine Waterful CC Cream Review & Swatches

BRTC Jasmine Waterful CC Cream

BRTC has released a Jasmine Waterful CC Cream SPF 50 to my absolute delight. BRTC Jasmine Waterful CC Cream launched recently in Korea and being a very big fan of BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream I thought it was a promising addition to my CC Cream Collection. At the moment, I must say I am really loving Asian CC Creams as they offer just the lightweight coverage I seek with the benefit of correcting but not necessarily overpowering me with too much coverage the way a proper BB Cream does.

Let’s take a look!

Oh woe is me this is a disaster…ok, not complete chaos but it sure could be better than what I was hoping. I have a strong love affair going on with Tony Moly CC Cream at the moment and I thought that perhaps BRTC Jasmine Waterful CC Cream might replace it on my HG (holy grail) list. I love the BB Cream version so much as it is creamy, rich, and perfects so beautifully giving my skin a pure, flawless finish.

I had hopes this would be a lighter version of that with correcting benefits. Unfortunately, something is amiss!

This comes in a pump style tube which I hated right away. Some of these tubes work great and some do not. This does not. I have to pump and pump and pump to get the CC Cream to flow properly. Ugh…things were off to a bumpy start.

As with most Asian CC Creams this is a white shade with a hint of lilac. The white is speckled with tiny little pigment capsules which typically burst and change the white to a self adjusting shade of color to correct skin. Unfortunately, this ends up more of a lilac based beige shade. Lilac is a great thing! It works fabulous in a base to brighten up duller skin and whiten a complexion. But in this case it’s too much of a good thing. The softer, lighter shade of beige combined with the lilac undertone actually give my face a very pasty appearance.

The formula is creamy and has a hydrating feel with a softer, smoother dry down. Unlike other CC Creams I tried it didn’t really correct….CC Creams are good for perfecting but not necessarily concealing problems. In this case, I was hoping for brighter skin while evening out my skin tone and offering a perfected finish. What I got was a white, ghostly cast on my skin.

I felt like this acts more like the Nature Republic Super Origin CC Cream I recently reviewed…a brightening primer of sorts?

So I indeed ended up trying it along with a BB Cream and the results are much better. It brightens up skin and sets a good canvas for foundation or another BB Cream. However, I was hoping not to use it as a primer but more as a foundation product of sorts. Props though as in some ways it does correct as I have dullness and used in conjunction with another base product it does ease and brighten up my complexion.

Overall, from what I’ve seen of CC Creams so far I was disappointed with BRTC Jasmine Waterful CC Cream….

Oh well!

I guess you win some you lose some.

Anyone try it?

Which CC Creams have you tried and loved recently?

Do share!

I purchased this item.
