Holika Holika Face 2 Change Moist Cushion BB Review & Swatches

Holika Holika Face 2 Change Moist Cushion BB 1

Holika Holika Face 2 Change Moist Cushion BB Cream SPF 50 is a new cream foundation product that resembles the Amore Pacific Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ I recently posted on.

This is a popular concept at the moment in Korea and many brands are releasing their own versions. If anything at all the consistency is more of a creamy mousse versus an actual cream foundation. The texture is really quite interesting!

Have a look!

Holika Holika Face 2 Change Moist Cushion BB comes in a chunky black compact with a generously sized mirror and a sponge for application. The compact opens to reveal a flip top lid which keeps the foundation from drying out and creating a mess should you wish to travel with it.

Although the product resembles a whipped up mousse I believe that they actually took a large sponge, saturated it with foundation, and stuck it into the compact. That’s what gives the foundation its squishy, spongy texture. If you press your finger in it, it feels wet and spongy and bounces instantly back into place once your remove any pressure.

It’s a very hydrating creamy foundation product when first applied but dries down to a semi-matte finish once blended into skin. The texture is rich, creamy, provides sheer to medium coverage, and has a delicate subtle floral scent. I find it very easy to work with! I touch it onto my skin and pat into place with the sponge. I don’t think it’s very practical to actually touch the sponge to the actually foundation as it seems to gather up a little too much product. This leads me to the fact that finger application can be messy if you’re traveling with it for touch ups plus touching it daily, well, you can imagine the bacteria.

I got it in shade two which is a greyish beige with pink undertones. The color seems to adjust well for me and doesn’t leave me pasty or white. It brightens up my face quite nicely and leaves behind a flawless finish. It does have a shorter wear time showing some fading at hour three and disappearing completely by hour five.

Unlike the CC Cream in the Face 2 Change Collection, I really enjoyed the Moist Cushion BB Cream. The texture is just fun and so easy to work with and apply. It leaves skin with very fresh, natural coverage. The wear time is a little shorter but I can work with that.

Likey!

I got mine off E-bay from seller F2PLUS1 (not affiliated).

I purchased this item.

i LOOOOVE their description of this bb compact on the packaging. 😛

This one sounds interesting! I love that the SPF factor is so high. Would you mind posting the ingredients, please? That would be very helpful.
I see you’re a BB connoisseur and I was wondering which BB cream would you recommend for a combo skin, with medium to full coverage and a semi matte finish? I’m looking for such a cream for the summer. All of the BBs I’ve tried were just too shiny and oily looking on my skin, even when set with powder. Thank you!

I really want to try these. My local Korean market’s beauty area just got a bunch of these in from the higher end side…but I don’t feel like dishing out the $50 for it so I might give this a try.

whoa, that looks scary in the compact but then it looks so normal when swatched. kinda neat X)

Ahh if it only lasts 5 hours on you… I don’t think it’ll be a good fit for my combo/oily skin~ Curious about the Laneige version as the commercial is all over the place in HK right now haha, any chance you’ll be reviewing it, Muse?

That looks… Disgusting, in the pan. (・_・; I do like the concept though and the “moist moisturizing” on the box is funny. A compact would be lovely (though clunky)! It’s a PITA to carry the 40g SKIN79 bottle around when I leave for the weekends. Paranoid I’ll have BB cream all over my clothes(ーー;)The button isn’t loose or easy to press, just a paranoia. My combination skin has also decided “Oh, is it spring/summer? I need to be oily ~ ” I hate my T-zone, so products have to stand up against oil and last.;_;Any powder suggestions, Muse? I have tried many powders, no luck. HD – nope, got oily. Rice powder – dried out my skin, still got oily pretty quick!

Ooh this is like the laneige one! i love the concept of these and they’re so nice to travel with, but I just wish they didn’t dry up :/

I tried this when I went on a trip to Korea and this had just come out. This has got to be the best color match for my skin. I have very fair, dry skin with pink undertones, so I used the lighter tone. It not only covered up any flaws with my skin, it made my skin glow and look angelic. My mom, who has some yellow undertones, even tried this and it somehow matched perfectly with her skin too.

I to bought this product on ebay but in the lightest color because normally the lightest in bb creams help dull out the red in my face and I have to say sadly this sucks!..it leaves my face looking sweaty like I just did a 2 hour work out and my sweat is washing off my make up look.It leaves my face greasy looking in the first 20 mins of putting it on and it’s a pain in the butt to wash it off!.I really wanted to love this but sadly its only a good idea that is yet to come into full realization in execution.I have combo/oily skin and I highly suggest skin79 triple bb cream (the one in the orange bottle)..I cant recommend this product!
