Holika Holika Honey Bouquet Shine Gloss Review & Swatches
I recently picked up Holika Holika Honey Bouquet Shine Gloss in Juicy Coral (SCR301) because as always when the Summer nears I’m starting to get obsessed with peaches, corals, and oranges.
Supposedly it contains royal jelly honey to keep lips moisturized with bright colored shades like flowers.
Take a peek!
This comes in a cute little tube with a ribboned purple topper. It has a sponge tip applicator for application and is ALL about the shimmer.
Technically I only tried one shade but I suspect all the shades are similar in the fact you aren’t getting a ton of color here but a whole hell of a lot of sparkly goodness. The gloss has a subtle fruity taste with light yet slightly tacky texture. It applies smoothly and doesn’t have a gritty feel once applied. It contains a ton of sparkle and has a decently shiny finish. I think it makes for a rather pretty overcoat (I used it on top of a peachy lip stain for my photo below) but doesn’t look as flattering on its own since its all sparkle and no color. It wears for around three hours before fading and leaving behind some sparkle and shimmer so you either need to wipe your lips with a tissue or reapply as having all that leftover shimmer, well it just looks odd.
I was slightly disappointed as I was hoping for more tint along with the shimmer but unfortunately this acts as more of an overcoat. It doesn’t have incredible shine or lend glossiness to lips or color. If you’re looking for sparkle this definitely brings it but not much else.
It’s available in eight shades and available from E-bay seller F2Plus1 (not affiliated).
