I Am Leaf in the Wind But I Am Not Rose Tyler’s Daughter

The Impossible Girl

Nor am I a younger River Song, the Doctor’s daughter, Susan, a Time Lady, the Tardis, etc…etc…etc….

With all the speculation who Clara really was I guess we built ourselves into a bigger frenzy than we realized because as epic as the Season finale of Who was, I can say, that I was a little disappointed, just a little mind you.

Things got wrapped up into a lovely little package with a gorgeous bow on top yet again.

Oh well!

The Impossible Girl proves that we SHOULD NOT over speculate. Case in point I will not even begin to hope that John Hurt is the Valeyard. I’d be crushed going into that theory and not having it be so besides The Great Intelligence doesn’t know everything anyway.

Thoughts on Saturday’s episode?

I actually figured the Clara Oswin thing. Not exactly how Moffat presented it. But I figured it was due to an anomaly that she was thrown back in multiple time strands which would be revealed in the finale. I had actually hoped the revelation would have been for the 50th anniversary special with Tennant & Piper though.

Also can I just say that I love you and your blog. Not only do you provide excellent information on cosmetics with great swatches but it’s posts like these that make me come back to read… It’s YOU with your love for make-up and geekiness. Keep it up.

you’re incredible. my theories went to hell in a hand basket. I had so many but none were even close to what they finally revealed. I was actually semi-disappointed she wasn’t someone from the past. I’m very curious what the plan is for Ten and Billie. I’d like to think they will bring back his clone but it sounds more logical that he’ll be meeting up with his past self and Rose. Thoughts?

AW THANK YOU! I love that I can talk makeup and GEEK with all of you ;-D

My friend also thinks that John Hurt is the Valeyard. I just wish we didn’t have to wait so long to find out!

As a watcher of the Doctor 1 as a little kid in the UK, I just found myself watching on and off recently as the 50th approaches. I sort of enjoyed the last 3 eps. Saturday’s was good. Eager to find out what John Hurt will be doing.
Have you been watching the shows on BBC America about each Doctor starting with the first? They are reruning them again on Sunday. The new one is Peter Davison who is a favorite actor of mine from All Creatures and other shows.

I spent part of the episode filling in Richard E. Grant’s unspoken line: “Screw that other guy, I AM EIGHT, DAMMIT!”

I also had a ton of theories about Clara but didn’t see that it was actually pieces of her scattered through time. I really liked how they inserted her into the older shows so we can see her impact on previous incarnations of the Doctor. it also makes sense of why she would sacrifice her mother’s ring for transport when they were in akhatan because she was there to save the Doctor. Because at least as far as we had seen, this Clara didn’t know the Doctor well enough to give away something so precious to her. He could’ve given Amy’s glasses or his bow tie because they are precious to him.

I think that John Hurt is the one who committed genocide against the other time lords which is why 11 said that he’s broke the Doctor’s promise. If he was the valeyard, 11 wouldn’t know him yet since that is a future incarnation of himself.

I was really disappointed. I’m on board with those who feel that Moffat is bad for women. We learned that Clara’s sole purpose in the universe is to save the doctor by dying and that’s what makes her important. Screw that.

I was a little dissapointed with the whole Clara thing or maybe I had over speculated this a bit.
