Rejoice my fair of skin friends! Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream is your savior! I tried two shades in this BB Cream and I must say they run quite fair so if you’ve had a problem finding a paler BB Cream I’d recommend checking this out.

But don’t check it out just for the shades because this formula is well worth a rave! Jane Iredale did a stupendous job getting the concept of a BB Cream down perfectly.

Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream is a mineral based formula that protects skin with an SPF 25 that’s available in six shade selections.

I was a little worried when I read about this for the first time due to the name “glow time”. Seriously, when you combine glow and BB Cream together I tend to run. I have a fuller face so any foundation or BB Cream product that has a glow-y finish is a big no for me. However, I’m quite happy to report there is no glow here, only healthy, natural coverage.

This is one of the rare BB Creams I’ve run across that launched here in the US that actually has the creamy, thicker texture of a true Asian BB Cream. It offers sheer to medium coverage that’s buildable to full coverage. So it will act to diffuse the appearance of redness and dakrness while perfecting skin with an airbrushed appearance.

The creamy texture allows for easy application and it blends into skin beautifully with a satiny semi-matte formula that will be a pleasant experience for those with oily skin. Even though my own skin is dry this still offers smooth, even coverage without adhering to my drier areas.

I personally want a BB Cream that will perfect my skin and that’s exactly what this formula does. It creates a photo ready finish with a perfect canvas for other makeup products. Wear time is a solid twelve hours without oxidizing or fading.

Unfortunately the SPF is a little lower so I personally recommend using your own sunscreen prior with a higher level of protection so you can stay out doors longer (at this rate it’ll only be good for about 40 minutes of protection).

The shade selection does appear to run quite light. I tried BB5 which is a lighter peach with beige undertones and BB3 which is a creamy ivory with strong pink undertones.

If you haven’t really wanted to venture into Asian BB Creams or you’ve tried them and haven’t found one fair enough for your skin I’d highly suggest checking Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream. This formula is ideal for paler skin and the formula is the closest I’ve seen to a true Korean BB Cream.

    I have to say this was a big disappointment for me. When I first applied it, I was almost ecstatic! For a very brief time I though I finally found my HG. It did provide a matte, smooth finish, but for about 4 hrs. After that it started to settle in my pores and started fading. And my skin had a weird reaction to it as well. I wanted it to work so badly! I would definitely suggest you testing the product before buying. JI is a brand too expensive for Pile of Doom.

    What shade did you end up with? Trying them in store, some of the lighter shades were hard to discern between, so I settled on BB3 but wondering if there’s a better match for my pale, neutral toned skin. Thanks!

    I have this and I really like it. The salon/spa I go to sells JI products so I asked the MUA for advice and she recommended this and the Smooth Affair primer to go with it, and I’ve found that the BB cream actually looks better with the primer underneath, somehow it absorbs better into my skin and gives me a more flawless finish. Plus it’s light enough for me, hallelujah (I have BB1).

    I didn’t like this at all. Even with the high cost, I still got rid of it. I used to have combination skin and get oily in the t-zone. Since getting older, my skin got drier and prone to rosacea. I read a review of this BB cream somewhere else and she described it as going on like cement. I have to agree. I was very disappointed. Also wasn’t happy with the shades….one was too light, one too dark. I like Jane Iredale products and so wanted to like this one, but just couldn’t.

    I didn’t like this at all. I like Jane Iredale products and wanted to like this, but it just didn’t work for me. I used to have combination skin/oily t-zone, but as I got older, my skin is now drier and rosacea prone. I read one review of this product somewhere else and she said it went on like cement. I had to agree. That’s exactly how I felt. Even though it was expensive, I got rid of it. I was really disappointed with this product. I do have Jane Iredale’s tinted moisturizer and primer and like them.

    Hi Muse! Thanks for another great review! If possible, though, I would love to see a face pic of you wearing the bb cream. I have noticed that you tend to not post one if you are reviewing foundation-type products or bronzers, but it would really be helpful to see what the product looks like on as with any other type of product.     Are the shades “forgiving”? BB3 looks too cool, and BB5 too yellow… Is there a BB4, or are they all odd-numbered? As far as deepness in color, these both seem like they’d be in the right range, but the undertones aren’t. I am reeeally neutral, and have absolutely no discernible under-, or over-tones, LOL. I really want to try this, as the ingredients really appeal to me.

    Muse, have u tried Ohio bright white? Now that is white! But I love it. Good coverage and if I want color I brush a darker finishing powder so I don’t have bronzer settling into my wrinkles. But can u do a pic with the JI BBC on please? Or am I not seeing it cuz am on this lil done screen?

      i have not even…will have to add it to my list of “to try” 🙂 I typically don’t really do reviews with the BB Cream on as there isn’t much to see unless I do before/after pics.

    I LOVE this BB Cream! Good coverage, not heavy or greasy. I do top it off with the JI pressed mineral foundation, just a light coverage in the tzone.

    I couldn’t get into this, it just felt really thick and heavy on me and had way more coverage than I needed. On a positive note, the primer they came out with the same time is amazing 😀 and smells gorgeous

    I have been using this makeup for over a year and a half and jane lose powder for almost six years. I used to work at a spa that sold it and got to understand some tricks with how to apply and wear it that have made me realize that if you don’t know about them you could have a crappy experience with the products.

    -First this bb cream is more for high coverage. If you need light coverage or have acne this formula may not be the best option for you. The pressed powder or lose powder with a setting spray will most likely be better for oil and offers flexible coverage options. You may still need a concealer and setting powder.Setting spray is important because it sets the makeup to your skin and makes it look natural instead of chalky and unnatural. Many people hate mineral makeup because they don’t know that an essential part is a setting spray. Don’t use one and you may be disappointed on how it looks on your skin.

    -The bb cream really only needs a little bit for application a small pea size or way less. Like the blogger mentioned it has a true bb cream texture. Over applying will cake and move around and leave an unnatural look. My bb cream lasted over a year of almost everyday application and I have really red uneven skin tone. It will last you a long time!

    -Use a setting powder for this stuff or it will not last on oily areas all day. That is similar to a lot of foundations and bb creams.

    -A primer is good to use underneath and will prolong the makeup wear.

    -If you have dry skin this makeup will probably accentuate your dryer areas Using a good moisturizer and exfoliating before applying will really help if you have dry skin.

    -This formulas is sensitive to heat upon application. It works best with applying with clean fingers rather then a brush or sponge. You can use a brush but it will not have the same effect.

    Basically this is an expensive product but if it works for you it will last a really long time making it a really good deal in the long run! Defiantly want to go get matched and make sure that there is a good return policy for where ever you buy it online or not!

    Also because the sun protection is a mineral base (none chemical sunscreen) it is water proof and sweat proof. It will not give you a chemical burn like most chemical sunscreens which react to the sun causing you to actually turn bright red and have irritation. Even though it is an spf 25 it actually has better protection and durability then an SPF60 (no joke I used to burn with high quality SPF60 and switched to jane and never burnt again even when I went to the Caribbean)

    I have a pale with cool undertone skin (around NW13-15 ish in MAC and 101 Classic Ivory in L’oreal Pro matte Infallible). What shade do you think I should get? I’m usually the first shade in every foundation/BB/CC cream but heard BB1 is really pale/ashy, should I get the BB3 instead?
