About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. *evil laughter*

btw these are just like those little Asian jelly cups size and texture-wise, so it really does seem like you could eat them xD

I tried these out at sephora on Monday and they are amazing! I’ll be buying them asap for sure!

  • lauren

I was idly browsing sephora and saw these. Immediately bought three, poppy paradise, pink escape, and getaway red. Ugh I love them so much it’s disgusting! They also make lovely and moisturizing lip stains.

  • Karen

I am in love with the Poppy Paradise color – my new favorite blush!

  • Corey

I have pink escape! I love love it! Super cute and really lasts!

  • Nadia

Muse you NEED these. I bought pink escape and I’ve worn it every single day for the past 2 weeks. It looks gorgeous and luminous and lasts all day. I want all of them lol

    • the Muse

i ordered three last night nadia ;-D they sound amazings!

  • Lulle

These blushes look like yummy lollipops! I love cream/gel blush so I’ll make sure to try them out.

I read so many great reviews on Sephora’s website that I had to get these. I bought three (Pink Escape, Poppy Paradise and Coral Oasis). Coral Oasis was too orangey for me. I returned all of them. I so wanted to like these. First, they didn’t go on evenly. They went on blotchy. I’ve really gotten to like creme blush for the last couple of months and don’t have a problem with any others. They also stained my finger. I was so disappointed.

    • the Muse

oh no 🙁 I purchased three hopefully I don’t have to return 🙁 thanks Joan! you are the blush expert 🙂

  • Karin

I bought the coral oasis recommended by the SA at Sephora. I loved the concept, but it stayed too “moist” on my cheeks. It wasn’t quite sticky, but it never really dried down smooth for me. Not a good idea for the humid summer weather ahead. I returned it. I prefer the Becca beach tints.

  • Icaria

OMGosh these look so yummy! I will definitely have a closer look. 🙂

I bought Poppy Paradise, and my first impression is “eh.” You have to build up the color, which wouldn’t be a problem if it blended easily. I prefer Tarte’s cheek stains to this, but as today is the first day I’ve tried it, I’m trying to hold off judgment. There is definitely a learning curve to this product. I will say that Poppy Paradise is a gorgeous, natural flush color on me, and it has a drier consistency, so I’m confident it’ll stay all day on my super oily skin.

As of right now, I’m bummed that it wasn’t love at first use for me.

    • Ruthlessrocks

Me too, I saw these in Sephora and my immediate thought was “Meh”. The colour range is really limited, they’re all sort of red pinks or orange and much too sheer.

I ordered 4 last night right when I saw this post pop up lol! I didn’t order getaway red and berry bliss, I figure those would be too dark for my pale skin xD

    • Tammie

You will LOVE poppy paradise. I can’t speak for the rest though, but poppy paradise is the perfect punchy color for us pale people lol. It’s THE summer color but just the right pigmentation 😀 😀 😀

  • Deb

Muse, you need these! I bought only one, Poppy Paradise after switching them in Sephora. With my dry skin I found it to be perfect. I prepped with Tarte’s Primed and Poreless first and these just glided on and blended easily. I think the key to these is using a primer first. I went to a concert last night and it was packed and hot and sweaty….for me, anyway. When I got home and went to wash my face this blush had not budged. The rest of my face makeup was definitely showing wear after sweating for so many hours but this remained as if it had just been applied. It does stain your fingers when you apply, but I washed my hands right after I put it on and it came off with no problem. I can’t stand the cream blushes, like Tarte, that stay tacky and never really dry down. I live in Phoenix and we are already in the triple digits so having a product that dries and then stays in place is truly a find! In the summer here, pretty much everything melts off your face. We do get humidity but not as bad as NY. Try one, I think it will hold up in your summer climate and it seems to love dry skin.

    • the Muse

yay they sound incredible deb 😀 I ordered three so hoping I LOVE ’em 😀 can’t wait to try! thanks for your mini review!

    • Tammie

I agree with everything you said :). Also like you say it does stain your finger but it washes off easily…anyway how can you expect something to stain your cheeks if it doesn’t stain your finger??

  • Courtney

Hey, just wanted to add–I’ve been using the Sonia Kashuk Duofibre small brush for these, and it works amazingly!! Just buffs it in and keeps you from having edges — or your fingers getting stained. I have GOT to buy more of these. Love love love. Oh, btw — are these LE????

    • the Muse

i think they are perm Courtney and thanks for the suggestion on the brush ;-D

  • Caroline

These look like a really great formula! Not sure if I love the shade range, though….

  • Maria A

Holy cheek stain. This stuff I had on from 7:30am well until 11:00 p.m all the color still there with very and I mean very little fading. It came off with the clarosonic and facewash. I hate to say but dare I say better then Tarte?
