Kat Von D Mini Waterproof Autograph Pencil Review & Swatches
Kat Von D has launched a range of Mini Waterproof Autograph Pencils for $10 each, my makeup life is now complete! I want ALL brands to launch mini eyeliner pencils immediately. Send out a memo to Urban Decay, Pixi, whoever will listen! Demand they launch little mini eyeliners.
I dunno why but the idea of being able to purchase a little baby eyeliner that fits easily into my makeup bag, travels super friendly, and costs half of a full size just appeals to me. Maybe it’s because I have so many eyeliners and I know I’ll never use them all. So just buying a mini one seems like a smarter choice for me.
What do you think?
Kat Von D Mini Waterproof Autograph Pencil are $10 each and available in ten shades at 0.028 oz each. The irony here is the mini eyeliners actually come in a wider variety of color than the larger size which offers merely six shades. Go figure!
These promise a long wearing, waterproof formula that remains smudge-free through the wear. On my drier eyes I had absolutely no issues with smudging and the formula wore long and strong for me throughout the day!
Depending on the shade I find the formula varies. The creams and metallics without shimmer have a creamier easy to apply formula where as some of the shades with shimmer had a little tugging involved to get into place as they run a little drier. Pigmentation is on par with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liners as these have a vibrant color pay off. Supposedly the formula contains Jojoba Oil which makes for a more moisturizing application but you wouldn’t know that applying some shades which tug.

I wouldn’t say they had an identical formula to creamier liners like UD’s formula but they are just at the pinnacle, a little tweak and they might just be right on pair. They are however, NO where near as creamy as Pixi Eyeliners.
I find once they warm up application goes a lot smoother so it’s merely about starting the product and it’ll start to apply easier used once or twice.
All in all they offer a range of shades you won’t be able to get at the drugstores. They wear quite long on me, smudge easily, and most shades apply without a hiccup. Just try out shades in stores to test out the formula as I found a few tugged to get into place correctly such as Homie.
