Kiehls Skin Tone Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream

Kiehl’s Skin Tone Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream ($37) recently launched in four shades. Kiehl’s BB Cream definitely seems to have a skin loving formula that’s paraben, mineral oil, fragrance, and silicone-free. And let’s not forget this formula addresses a whole host of concerns like dark spots, improving skin texture and tone as well as the appearance of imperfections while providing moisture.

It seems like exactly the BB Cream formula you’d want combining all the elements of a good skincare with your makeup.

Take a look!

Kiehl’s Skin Tone Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream formula begins with a highly acidic vitamin C combined with natural mineral pigments that results in a stable, gentle, yet effective formula for correcting skin tone while offering natural coverage with a high SPF 50.

This is not really a creamy, thicker textured of an Asian BB Cream but more of a gel foundation formula. It’s a thicker gel consistency with a soft, gel-like texture that absorbs into skin leaving it feeling hydrated while perfecting already good skin. It’s lightweight enough that the coverage is very breathable and lightweight for Summer or warmer weather wear. It evens out skin ton and perfects already good skin for a brighter more flawless appearance however, it does run sheerer so it won’t conceal major problems. My skin actually went from duller and lackluster to having more of a healthy, brighter appearance upon application. It leaves behind a dewy finish and leaves my drier skin nicely hydrated after use. Wear time seems fairly good which surprised me as typically moisturizing foundations wear away fairly fast on my skin. This wore a solid six hours with some minor fading in hour seven.

Kiehl’s has a range of studies which show that in four weeks this improved the brightness of skin, the hydration, overall skin appearance and imperfections, as well as smoothness. I’ve only been using in for about four or five days so I can’t speak for these results as of yet. I will say I love how moisturizing it is thanks to the glycerin in the formula.

But it isn’t the type of moisture that feels heavy or greasy nor does it leave my skin looking shiny. I also adore the fact it contains such a high level of Vitamin C. If I’m going to be wearing coverage daily why not have something that aids in brightening my skin through the wear?

Light and Medium

And finally the high level SPF 50 aids in protecting my skin from the sun!

Kiehl’s Skin Tone Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream is worth exploring. It isn’t a traditional BB Cream formula but it has all the skin loving ingredients of one and provides the perfect coverage for Summer. If you like gel foundation products that provide moisture you’ll likely love this.

The combination of coverage, sun protection, and a great texture make for a very interesting BB Cream formula!

It’s available now at www.kiehls.com as well as your favorite Kiehl’s counters.

Ooh this sounds really, really nice! I wonder how well it would work for my oily skin though :/

Do you think this would suit oily skin? The gel-like formula sounds interesting!

Man, darker-skinned folks got screwed on this one. The four shades are Fair, Fair/Light, Light, and Medium. I’m glad for my end of the spectrum, and I might well check this out, but that leaves out an awful lot of skin tones.

How does this compare to the new Shiseido Urban Environment Tinted Sun Protector SPF 43 in terms of oiliness/moisturizing and coverage? Both seem similar to me in terms on sun protection (both contain physical protectants.
I read on CafeMakeup that Shiseido is great at moisturizing and has quite a bit of coverage (more coverage than Chanel Aqua Vitalumiere). I’m combo/oily so I’m not so sure if I should try Shiseido. If this is better for combo/oily and has the increased coverage I may try this instead.

At first I was surprised at the price. I expected it to be a bit pricier, coming from Kiehls. But honestly it sounds just like a bb cream I already have, Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly. Not sure I need another gel bb cream in my life, as this much cheaper one is fine for me.

The spf is much higher than the Holika Holika one however.

I have oily and acne problematic skin that left behind alot of scarrings (deep red pigmented scars). I am reluctant to try it because afraid of the non oil-free formula. Do you think it’s ok for ppl with oily skin to try?

I’ve read that this caused acne for a lot of ppl after about a week of use. has anyone else had this problem? Also, I have moderate rosacea. am wondering if this might be too strong for my face

Hi I started using this 2 months back and I highly recommend using this with there micro-blur skin perfector since they both have added benefits within prolong time of both products using the micro blur skin perfector helps reduce the size of pores and skin texture as the bb cream perfects skin corrects skin tone and irregularitys they work perfectly together and actually do help the skin and do what they say they are supposed to do 😉 they are my holy Grail products for winter since they are both hydrating the micro blur Mars ny skin feel like velvet and the bb cream just hydrates my skin they work like Magic together I also use there ultra Facil cleanser , ultra facial toner , and I also use there rosa arctica youth regenerating cream as a moisturizer underneath the micro blur skin perfector and then add on top my holy grail bb cream for added moisture this is perfect for any skin types since I have combo skin for the oily skin types I recommend using the lightweight rosa arctica since it’s tad lighter than the original and will work perfectly in the winter since this is really hydrating skin routine because of the added moisture from the bb cream

Mom got me this in the Light shade. She told me the fair shade was too light. But when I tried this, it was a bit dark. I looked like I wore a fake tan or something. hahahah Hence, I only use it if I am doing sports (to give the fake tan look some use).

Nevertheless, it has good skincare benefits. There is this facial oil from Kiehl’s. That is like owhhhmaigahhdd.. Beautiful soothing smell.. Makes skin beautiful in the morning *browse click browse! click!*
