Lavshuca Flower Syrup Gloss Review & Swatches

Lavshuca Flower Syrup Gloss Spring 2013

I wanna accuse Lavshuca Flower Syrup Gloss of not turning my everyday life into a wonderland.

According to the package, “As you put on this makeup, your everyday life turns into a wonderland in an instant”.

LIES all LIES!

The wonderland didn’t happen…where is my damn wonderland…?!

Ha…no seriously, that really is what the packaging says. I love Japanese makeup!

Lavshuca Flower Syrup Gloss launched in five shade selections with the Spring 2013 Collection. This comes in a smaller squeeze tube with a slanted applicator for application.

It got its name due to the texture of the gloss which is very thick and syrupy in texture. It kinda reminds me of honey! It’s fragrance and flavor free (or least I didn’t taste or smell anything when applying) and has a thicker, sticky texture giving lips the appearance of a fuller look with a high glossy finish.

I got the shade RD-1 which give lips a hint a red tint. It’s actually not as sheer as I thought it would be which makes me want to indulge in a few other shades. I suspected it would be transparent but it proved me wrong and came across more tinted than I expected.

This isn’t a gloss for weaklings who dislike thick, sticky formulas. I personally love it and found this not only moisturizing but quite lovely to wear due to the super shiny finish. The wear time will vary but I can get a good four hours out of the gloss and it doesn’t migrate around my mouth in that time either!

Overall, an excellent gloss if you love them extra shiny and extra thick! It quite reminds me a little bit of Too Faced Mirror Mirror Gloss which happens to be HG for me.

YesStyle.com sells these are $10 each.

I purchased this item.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I must admit, I’m kind of in love with your blog. It’s a great find!

Hahaha…I’d be upset if it didn’t turn my everyday life into a wonderland, too!

Asian products generally crack me up, but I actually love the name “flower syrup.” It’s like a really whimsical way of saying nectar 😀
