Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara Review

Mary Kay Lash Love

May Kay Lash Love Mascara ($15) is one of the first products I’ve tried from Mary Kay I believe. Odd right? Beauty junkie and never really tried out Mary Kat Cosmetics.

Let’s take a look!

Mary Kate Lash Love Mascara is a voluminzing formula that provides a soft, healthy finish to lashes with a sculpted brush that separates and coats lashes without creating a clumping mess.

I think the formula actually lacks the volume I crave but it does however, produce fantastic length. The brush is a straight end with smaller spikes that catch lashes and coats them in mascara while bringing them upwards and outwards creating longer lashes.

The formula is flake and smudge-free on my drier eyes and wears strong all day in a rich, deeply pigmented black.

I think it lacks a little in the volume department but more than makes up for it in the length it creates. I love mascaras like this as they easily pair up with a more volumizing one for the best effects. It’s difficult to combine certain mascara formulas without creating a mess but this is a perfectly lightweight way to gain length while adding something more like say Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes for a fuller lash look!

I loved this mascara! But after a couple of days it wasn’t the same. It clumped too much and it got dry! I had to toss it within a week. I got it for free so I didn’t feel bad. It wasn’t worth trying to work with.

I got a tube of the waterproof version in the mail randomly in the fall! So weird!

I gave it to a girlfriend, because I don’t do waterproof, and she said it was very good.

*groan* Mary Kay has left a very bad taste in my mouth…but I have to admit, this is a very nice mascara (I also love the lip primer). Not sure if it’s worth the trouble, though. I’d rather just buy a Mally or Tarte mascara and forego the “Scary Kay” lady shenanigans! 😛

Eh, unlike Avon, Mary Kay is multi-level marketing, more about trying to get people under you and forcing their sellers to buy tons of back inventory, and I just can’t support the company.

This is my FAVORITE mascara EVER! I love it so much and I feel like I am always on the hunt for “that” mascara.
