Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder

Four Seasons, Powder Matte, and Powder Glow are three different textures that Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder will be available in for Summer 2013.

A faux glow is always the safest way to go for glowing Summer skin and Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder is not only easy to use but easy on your budget too.

Take a look!

Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder ($8.99) will be available through May 2013 only (no worries though, most drugstores won’t run out of them that quickly).

These limited edition bronzing disks are available in a range of finishes and shades. Each compact weights in at 0.34 oz in size but the compact isn’t one of those massive CD compacts. These are a smaller blusher size compact that travels easily.

Dream Sun Bronzing Powder Four Seasons is a multi-tonal palette the create a more customized bronzed look so you can easily choose how dark or light you want to go with your look. This is a traditional bronze shade of tan with a softer orange undertone. It has a drier, dense texture that allows you to easily build color without over doing it. It produces a radiant just out of the sun glow that’s quite natural and wears for a solid eight hours without fading.

Dream Sun Bronzing Powder Matte is a similar texture to Four Seasons but in a darker shade of bronze tan. The matte finish is drier and dense but picks up color easily with a kabuki. It will work well on oily skin as it contains no glitter or shimmer and produces a more natural sunkissed glow.

And lasting Dream Sun Bronzing Powder Glow offers a touch of shimmer. This a very deep bronze shade with absolutely no orange elements. The shimmer makes it the easier to wear for me out of the three and the texture is a little softer and silkier in comparison. I find swiping onto cheek bones with a fan brush on top of a little pink cheek stain produces a very natural glow on my face without looking orange-y or unnatural.

No matter your bronzer poison Maybelline has a formula for you! These are an inexpensive way to enjoy a radiant glow. Honestly, in my experience with them they are comparable to many higher ends and even the MAC Bronzers that just recently released with the Summer 2013 Collection!

These look great! And affordable (always a bonus)! I tend to find drugstore bronzers chalky.
I have a question though, are the labels mismatched? Is the second individual bronzer picture supposed to be Four Seasons and not Glow? It’s the only one that seems multi-tonal to me. (And then the first picture would be Glow I assume?)
    Thanks for the review, Muse!

oops sorry corrected. it’s supposed to be glow, matte, and four seasons hope that helps ;-D apologies!

  • Ashley

The matte is really tempting to pick up and use as a contour powder!

  • Grace

Do you happen to have Benefit Hoola? Would you say this might be comparable to Matte or Four Seasons?

  • Cindy Ramirez

Um can I just say how excited I am for these!? They all sound really awesome! I blow through my Hoola bronzer like crazy. I’d love to stock up on the matte version of this, and maybe even pick up one of each of the other two ;]

I know,am going to have to get one of these! Maybellibe is,provably the only drug store brand that hasn’t failed me yet.

I love bronzers but all too often I end up buying ones that are either to orangey or too dark for my fair complexion. Considering the price of these at least I won’t make a costly mistake like I have in the past.

  • Abigail

I love, love, love bronzers! My skin is fair and I always look pasty and sickly during the summer if I don’t use a fake tanner or bronzer. All three colors look fantastic!
    Thanks for the share!

Maybelline has been coming out with some awesome products!! lets me indulge in my makeup crack habit and not break the bank, lol…love buying more items for less. I have to get one of these, I have been loving their lip glosses and bouncy blushes

I’m really glad you like these and find em’ comparable to higher end bronzer–I will definitely give the matte version a try.

This review is great timing especially with summer around the corner.

These haven’t been stocked in NYC drugstores yet, but I’m checking on a regular basis because I WANT one! Thanks for all your reviews!

Drat! July already, and this product still isn’t in NYC drugstores. I think I’m going to speak to some managers to find out what’s going on, and I’ll report back.
