Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Eye Shadow for Fall 2013

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Eye Shadow

Make a vibrant eye statement this Fall 2013 with the new Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Eye Shadow launching in July at drugstores. Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Eye Shadow are something we haven’t ever seen from Maybelline before and quite remind me of the old L’Oreal HIP Pigments, remember those?

Hot on the heels of their success with Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow, Maybelline makes a wise choice to launch something new and exciting for Fall. I mean how can you top the success of the cream gel shadows? We all love and use them (except those Summer shades, what happened there?) so of course, we’ll eagerly want to try out the pigments….I dunno about you but I’m excited about this launch as it is the perfect pairing for the cream shadows as you can use the pigments on top of your fav cream shadows!

Take a peek!

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Eye Shadow will be available in twelve shades for $6.99 each. These are a loose shadow pigment that promise an intense color payoff and a blendable easy to apply formula with “Color Booster Technology” that offers superior color intensity for wear of up to 24 hours according to Maybelline!

I used to be heavily into pigments but I find them challenging to work with at times so they do occasionally fall off my radar from time to time. However, I’m quite excited about these as I think they’ll make an excellent pair up with my favorite Color Tattoo Cream Shadows.

I haven’t swatched them as of yet or even played with them but they seem promising so far especially some of the shades like Barely Brazen and Buff & Tuff. The colors are more about bolder, vibrant shades but there are definitely some naturals in the mix as well!

Considering some of the Summer Color Tattoos were a bust I think these could amp up that formula as you can use them as a base with the powder pigments on top!

These launch in July at drugstores and I’ll be posting a review and swatches sooner to the release date.

What do you think?

Excited about these?

Due to the hassle and mess I tend to experience from loose eyeshadow, I usually steer clear. I’ve got some that I use once in a blue moon. These colors look lovely (I’m eying that purple!) and I miiiight be willing to give them a chance.

  • Blee

Wow, those sure are nice for drug store pigments! See how you are, Muse? Will try when they come out. Yep, Buff & Tuff. LOL your to cute 😀

  • Tennyoceres

Why are the nude pigments calling me? Usually I go for the brightest, most audacious thing…Well, okay Never Fade Jade is making me go “Oooh” and “Aaah.”

  • Kadie Lee

I audibly shouted SQUEEE! when I saw this post! So excited!

  • anne

I can happily pass on these lol. I have a lot of BE loose after giving quite a few away and i never use them.

Muse! Just wanted to report in that these are in Canada already. I randomly went to the grocery store today (mind you it’s the biggest one in at least NS, possibly all of the atlantic provinces) and they had their own little understated display in a corner. They are going for $7.99Cdn. I picked up the purple one. I haven’t seen them anywhere else, though.

thanks girl! I always get questions about Canada release info and can never answer so good to know ;-D

    • Missy

I’m from Canada (in maritimes provinces)and I found these at Jean Coutu in sale at 4.99 each 🙂

  • Cat G

I really really really hope they are quality! I am excited for these!

  • Meg

I have been so excited for these, can’t wait to get my hands on some! BTW Muse, I just got the Sleek Lip Palettes in Ballet and Mardis Gras totally because of your post about them haha I am in love with them!!

    • the Muse

YAY happy to hear it meg! They are crazy pigmented aren’t they!? 😀

  • Jenn

Kinda glad I can pass on these, I have sooooo many Indie pigments that I love(BFTE< Shiro, Victorian Disco), these just aren't very exciting to me. I actually did like the summer color tattoo's, especially as a base for some of my pigments. 🙂

  • Chelle

Oddly… these are already out in Canada in drug stores. And they came out the exact same week that we got the “Summer 2013” color tattoos. /rolleyes

  • pockykami

Unless you have great couponing skills, these just don’t seem like a great value to me. Especially since you can mac pigment samples for around $4 or free if your lucky at the counter and fyrinnae minis for around $2. I am interested in the bright blue, so I hope they’re a little cheaper at bb&b.

Loose shadows are usually not for me, but the Buff and Tuff and Barely Brazen do catch my eye. If they wear better over the cream gels, they might be worth it. I’m also looking forward to seeing -Downtown Brown -Breaking Bronze && -Improper Copper.

  • Marina

I love pigments and loose shadows, and these do look nice…but pockykami has a good point! I’ve been loving my Shiro, Geek Chic, 8 Bit, and Fyrinnae shadows as of late, and they are more affordable.

  • Nivvy

I saw these me mentioned in the June issue of seventeen ! And I started my research quick !!! I can’t wait for them to hit the stores ! I want the wild gold , never fade jade , brash blue . Ahh heck ill prob. get them all !!

  • Natalie

Will you please post some swatches of these pigments? I am really interested in see what they actually look like.

  • Miranda

THAT BLUE THOUGH. They look gorgeous, I just have a really hard time with loose pigments. Maybe I’m just a klutz but they always end up all over my face, so I think I’ll stick to the creams!
