Nature Republic Super Origin CC Cream Review & Swatches
Nature Republic has two new Super Origin CC Cream (Complete Control Cream) formulas available in Korea at the moment. There’s a tinted version as well as a brightening version. I do suggest you go into a purchase for the tinted version as the brightening one is more of a primer versus an actual CC Cream.
Let’s take a look!
This formula supposed contains Marine collagen, ceramide, vitamin c derivatives with an SPF 30 PA++. It comes in a squeeze tube with an attached pump for application. The pump, even though I dislike this style of packaging, works very well and dispenses just the right amount of product out.
I really should have gotten the tinted version but I was under the impression the brightening one would simply imply that it would be gray based offering a more whitening effect. Unfortunately, I completely read that wrong because technically this is more of a moisturizing primer versus an actual CC Cream as it does not offer any coverage or tint at all.
This is a thicker cream texture with a highly moisturizing formula that kinda sorta leaves my skin a little shiny after use. I suggest using as small an amount as possible. It’s a white shade but has a little hint of pale pink to it. It absorbs easily and does a fine job prepping skin for makeup. I’d personally skip moisturizer after use as you really won’t need it. I have drier skin and this provides PLENTY of moisture. I mentioned my skin looked shiny after use and that seemed to create a problem as my day progressed as this formula seems to help skin retain moisture which resulted in very shiny skin. I think it might be best suitable for Winter use when my skin is more dehydrated than it is during the warmer weather.
I didn’t really see much of a brightening effect using this so in that aspect it failed. It does provide plenty of moisture, decent sun protection, and a formula that will double up as a primer slash moisturizer but it seems a little too rich for warm weather.
Unfortunately CC Cream it is not and that can be a little deceiving when purchasing it. I think I’d like to try the tinted version next and that sounds more like a CC Cream formula but hopefully it isn’t as hydrating!
I purchased mine directly from Korea but a good deal of E-bayers sell it at a reasonable price.
Anyone try it?
