Pantene Pro V Ultimate Ten BB Creme for Hair Review

Pantene Pro V Ultimate Ten BB Creme for Hair

Pantene has created the first every BB Cream for Hair, seriously, really it’s true! Pantene Pro V Ultimate Ten BB Creme 10 in 1 Beauty Balm for Hair all in one wonder for smoothing, conditioning, hydrating, and styling hair.

I dunno how I feel about BB Cream for hair….I think it might take marketing a little too far however, I have noticed that the Korean market is doing much of the same lately and slapping “BB Cream” on everything so why not hair products right?

I was quite curious product in all honesty being a lover of BB Creams in general so why not try one for my hair?

If you can get past the BB Cream in the title Pantene Pro V Ultimate Ten BB Creme for Hair is an interesting product. This comes in a push to dispense bottle for around $4.99-$7.99 depending where you purchase. I got it at Harmons and I believe it set me back five dollars and change which isn’t too bad a deal.

Supposedly this does a host of things for your hair like repairing dry hair, strengthening it against damage, softening it, smoothing, moisturizing, calming frizz, protecting against heat, taming fly always, and adds manageability to longer hair.

Pantene Pro V Ultimate Ten BB Creme 10 in 1 Beauty Balm for Hair

This is thicker yet lightweight cream which absorbs easily into hair without leaving it greasy or oily. I was surprised as many styling balms like this typically have a heavier feel in my hair but this absorbs quickly without a hiccup. I typically apply to towel dried hair and just comb out. I believe they said two pumps for longer hair but I only use one. It is a leave in so you can go about styling your hair after application without rinsing out.

I have longer, wavy hair with some frizz and dryness. This smooths and refines my curls while softening my hair, adding shine, and much needed moisture.

You do have to take into consideration that it is packed with silicones which results in major build up. I used it for a week daily and my hair got super heavy, a bit oily at the roots, and was generally lackluster towards the end of thew week. If you’re going to use it just be sure to follow up with a clarifying shampoo and conditioner at the end of the week to rinse away all the gunky build up it creates.

It actually performed quite well for me in that week and continues to do so as long as I’m diligent about clarifying my hair at the end of the week. I do find cashing in on the BB Cream craze is a great marketing scheme for Pantene as people will automatically buy it because it sounds intriguing…….if you can get past that I promise it’s a rather interesting product.

Tried it?

Do share!

It’s available now at drugstores.

I purchased this item.

I can’t help but roll my eyes when I see ads for CC, DD and hair BB creams. People really know how to take a trend and run with it huh?

Hey Muse! Hope you had a great weekend.

I bought this several weeks ago and have been using it in my towel dried my hair, before I blow dry. Love it! I find it works particularly well on those horrible, humid days (a/k/a bad hair days) like the ones we suffered through last week. It’s kind of like a leave-in conditioner, but not as heavy. Works well on my wavy, shoulder length hair. I agree it’s a good idea to use a clarifying shampoo after a week or so, but I think that’s a good idea anyway.

hey you! it was amazing and yours? went too fast! I’ve been using it for about, two weeks or so now? I like it! which surprised me as I try to avoid silicones but if I clarify I can def use it without a prob! It really tames my hair and makes it super soft ;-D Isn’t like other balms I’ve tried, which I hated. This is more soft and absorbs easier! smells nice too 😀

haven’t tried this but I am loving the pantene over night treatment which looks very much like this except blue letters instead of red. I LOVE IT! I have always been in the (bad) habit of washing my hair at night so a balm that went on it at night sounded amazing. I just put two pumps in my ends (from my ears down) and comb through. I like to roll it into a bun or hair clip so it doesn’t go wild while I toss and turn at night and in the morning when I let it out I have beautiful soft shiny hair 🙂
(NO BUILD UP after I use it about 3x a week-)

This kind of reminds me of It’s a 10 or Matrix Total Results Hair Lotion. After I use up my current bottle of the Matrix, I’ll try this next.

I actually really love this product! I’ve used it for about 2 years and it is wonderful for my thin, fine textured, curly, frizzy freaking hair! BB cream? I don’t know but whatever you call it, it does work. xoxo Cindy
