Secret Key Let Me Know CC Cream Review & Swatches

Secret Key Let Me Know CC Cream 4

I’ve been on my little CC Cream adventure lately and the latest one I tried was Secret Key Let Me Know CC Cream SPF 50 PA+++. Secret Key is a relatively new brand and I haven’t tried a ton of their products but a CC Cream seemed like a great place to start.

This like most of the CC Creams popping up in Korea promises a naked skin effect. In fact this is a fairly accurate description of these newer CC Creams formulas as they typically come in a single shade that self adjusts to a variety of skin tones in a lighter texture than you’d find in a BB Cream.

I personally recommend CC Creams for those with already good, blemish-free skin who want to perfect but not necessarily cover.

Read ahead for more details.

Secret Key Let Me Know CC Cream

Secret Key Let Me Know CC Cream offers a healthy high sun protection at SPF 50 PA+++ however, I’m always applying sunscreen prior as I’m always worried I am not applying nearly enough of the CC Cream to get that kinda of protection from it.

The formula claims to contain both whitening and anti-aging ingredients plus ones to hydrate skin and keep it moisturized.

The color capsules are black, red, and yellow meant for a variety of skin tones so this starts out white but adjusts as you apply.

The texture is quite runny and not necessarily moisturizing but applies and blends out very easily without adhering to drier areas on my face. Coverage is sheer, lightweight, and breathable. It’s actually not as good adjusting to my shade as other CC Creams I’ve tried. The color is a lighter ivory beige with pink undertones and a semi-matte finish. I’d recommend this for a lighter skin tone than my own as it goes a tad pasty on me. It brightens, evens out, and perfect skin quite nicely but due to the shade it looks a tad chalky and pasty on my skin and never fully adjusts.

Although I liked the formula well enough the color itself wasn’t for me. I’d personally recommend Tony Moly’s CC Cream because at the moment I really feel that excels at everything a good CC Cream does plus adjusts to a wide variety of skin tones.

This is available from E-bay seller F2PLUS1 (not affiliated).

Anyone try it?

Or any other CC Cream?

Love to hear your thoughts!

I purchased this item.

F.Y.I. The post says Secret Key, but the brand is Secret Kiss 🙂 Just figured I should let u know! I’ve been on a little CC cream adventure myself lately too, Musey! Btw, I left u a comment on your recent Etude House Dear Girls lip balm review about someone copying ur review again! If u happen to read this comment first, be sure to read my other one!

  • Christi

That was supposed to say the box says secret kiss. Just thought I’d let u know in case it was a typo.

It may not still be there when u get home, I wrote to the person & told her if she is going to use other people’s reviews she should at least give them credit for it instead of posting it as her ownl. She wrote back, blaming her “little sister” (*eye roll*) for doing it under her account & said she was taking it down now. Your readers have your back =) so nobody steals ur reviews LOL!

    • the Muse

hi christi, I e-mailed her last last night and she told me the same…could be right? 🙂 I’m just glad it was removed and I really appreciate you taking the initiative to contact her and ask her to remove. I’m always shocked when I find MUAers stealing reviews as most of the members are really passionate about expressing their own thoughts/opinions. again, thanks for having my back 🙂

Muse u got a large collection of CC cream!!!

after trying serveral CC cream (Etude House, Tony Moly, Banila co, The face shop), I have to agree that Tony Moly one is the best!

    • the Muse

hi sai, yeah been trying quite a few lately. agreed….so far tony moly seems to me the one that I’m really loving out of all of them 😀

Hi, if you layer chemical sunscreens on top of each other, the spf actually goes down. you can layer physical sunscreens all you want and the spf will increase. i believe you mixing physical and chemical sunscreens will also bring down the spf. this cc cream probably uses chemical sunscreen?

    Hey Muse!
I’ve been eyeing up the Secret Key Snow White pack for a little while now but keep hesitating to buy it because there are zero reviews of the product atm. Have you seen it, maybe even used it? I’d love to know your thoughts on it! (It looks pretty impressive from all the promo pictures but not sure if its as good as they make it seem to be).
    🙂
Oh and thank you for the review on this CC cream… I myself haven’t yet indulged in one but they sure do seem tempting! Think the TonlyMoly one will be my first purchase 🙂

    • the Muse

i’ve been testing it sahara, it’s kinda ok but I’m not in love with it. I had a review planned for today but didn’t get a chance to crop photos so might go live tomorrow. very wise purchase, so far, the tony moly seems to be the one that works the best imho! ;-D and that review on the snow white pack will be done by tom with a review of the moisturizer, if you’re interested, later next month ;-D

  • Sahara

Eeep you’re the best Muse!! Cannot wait for the full review 🙂 Thank you!! Oh and yes, a review on the moisturizer would be amazing too! *hugs*

I’ve tried out the Banila Co it Radiant CC cream and finds it quite good despite the original color being very beige/pink. It did look good on my NC25 skin, so not sure if it’ll do as well for urs. Are you intending to try Banila Co’s?

    • the Muse

hi effortgirl sorry delayed reply, def at some point will try the banilla co!

  • lil eve

Just like u Muse, I can’t let go of TM CC. Nothing has, topped the effects of that cream so am not going to try any. But have u tried Hera CC. Other reviewers say that it truly offers coverage.

  • Tammie

    I’m currently realizing that since nothing stays on my face maybe the best thing to do is get something sheer that just perfects so by the time it inevitably melts off my face at the end of the day at least you won’t be able to tell too much lol. I mean by the time the day is not quite over you can already see all my blemishes through whatever BB cream or foundation I am wearing anyway so I might as well just get something that at least looks less obvious right? >.>;;

So anyway, I am going to get 2 CC creams after I get paid, this one (because I am pale so I have to try it lol) and the Tony Moly one since you love it so much.

    • the Muse

i think cc cream would be great, lightweight and it wears quite well, just right for correcting but not a ton of coverage ;-D

      • Tammie

Yeah~. I just hate that at the end of the day it’s obvious I was wearing makeup before haha…at least with CC cream it will help a little but not be so obvious by the time it starts to disappear~
