Sephora Glossy Gloss Review & Swatches

Sephora Glossy Gloss

You probably already know my obsession with Too Faced Mirror Mirror Gloss which is why Sephora Glossy Gloss is currently on my beauty radar.

Sephora Glossy Gloss is the equivalent of the long gone Mirror Mirror Gloss and a heck of a lot cheaper as well at $10 bucks. So if you love SUPER glossy glosses with a mirror like shine allow me to introduce you to this little guy!

Sephora Glossy Gloss is available in 34 shades (say what?!) at $10 each. I feel like I need to head into Sephora now and just buy all the shades….! Is that overkill? Naaa.

The shade I tried, Grenadine, is actually a new color that was added for Summer 2013. It’s a translucent shade of pink that has absolutely no pigment and applies clear. I’m not bothered by the lack of pigment as I like to use this on top of lipsticks and stains. I honestly can’t leave the house without some sort of clear gloss on top of my lipstick so this works a treat as a topper.

This has a banana, fruity, something going on in terms of flavor but it’s quite subtle and disappears once applied.

The texture is a thicker gel with a looser consistency. It wears comfortably without being sticky or tacky but this also lessens the wear time to around two to three hours. Even though the texture runs looser it doesn’t migrate around my mouth thankfully.

The real joy is the shiny wet effect finish. It has a mirror shine finish that’s stunning on top of lip stains and lipsticks! It also has a really great moisture factor and keeps my drier lips quite hydrated through the wear.

Sephora Glossy Gloss Swatches

I love gloss but I rarely find one that has such an intense shiny finish and Sephora Glossy Gloss happens to one of the greats. At $10 per shade I’d say AT LEAST pick up one to add some drama to your favorite lipstick.

Loves!

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

Well worthy of a haul and Muse Approved.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have the Glossy Gloss in Confectionary, sheer bright pink. It’s a pretty watermelon color for summer, great on its own 🙂

Oh, I love this stuff! I’ve got “Cocktail on the Beach”, such a great color and it wears so nicely.

These glosses are AMAZING. i have night out (a very pretty plum with shimmer) and cocktail on the beach. Smells nice, tastes nice, looks very nice, and makes my lips feel soft. I want to get them all too, Muse!

Anyway since you like high-shine glosses, have you tried Nature Republic’s Jelly Drop Gloss? It’s quite thick but the finish is very luscious, shiny, and plush!

Hi musey! Long time no comment, haha. How does this compare to Too faced’s Mirror Mirror Shine glosses?

    • the Muse

mirror mirror is a shy thicker, has a bit more tack so they wear longer…i found these are a little looser, kinda watery gel…mirror mirror is a thicker gel without being watery. the taste seems stronger on mirror mirror as well and felt the shine, if possible, was just a bit more.

I tried the gold shade on in Sephora a few weeks ago. I totally forgot! I was scared to try it on because it looked so blingy (is that a word? Lol) but it was pretty and not to bold. 🙂

    Muse,

I’m still lurking on Sephora because I have $0 to spend, and noticed that all five of the Sephora Glossy Gloss Galore (don’t know what Galore means, but whatevs) shades are on sale for $7.00 each.

Colors: Feening for Pink (Like Mr. Feeny?), Curvalicious Coral, Sparks Fly Mauve, Livin’ Large Lavender, and Femme Fatale Red.
