Josie Maran Argan Infused Creamy Chubby Concealer Review & Swatches
Heads up concealer junkies, Josie Maran Argan Infused Creamy Chubby Concealer just launched on QVC.com in four shades. Being a rather fond fan of Josie Maran Argan Full Coverage Concealer Pen with Setting Powder but a not so big fan of Josie’s Erase and Rewind Argan Concealer or her Argan Blend Concealer had me on the fence about this new creamy chubby concealer pencil!
So far my track record isn’t great with her concealers so I wasn’t sure I needed to try a new one…I must admit the Concealer Pen is long gone but never forgotten from my mind. I loved that thing! The setting powder I never really used and the design of the entire concealer was a little off but it was thee perfect shade for me and really went a long way at brightening up my eyes and concealing my woe. I was so sad it was available for such a short time. Ever after that I’ve made it my business to try all of Josie’s concealers in the hopes it would live up to that formula and sadly none have…!
Hopefully the new Argan Infused Creamy Chubby Concealer will change my mind!?
I generally like the idea of concealer pencils but I find them impractical for daily use as most times they run a little sheerer. In the case of the Argan Infused Creamy Chubby Concealer it does indeed run a smidge sheer but it builds very easily so you go from sheerer to medium coverage easily.
This is a twist up tip design so no need for a sharpener. It’s available in four shade selections with a formula infused with argan oil. It doesn’t have a super slippery feel due to that oil but it does feel very hydrating. The formula runs thinner when applied but glides on easily, blends out even easier, and leaves behind just the right amount of coverage to conceal my puffy, finely lined drier eyes. The creamy formula is a joy to use as it doesn’t settle into my fine lines nor does it cake. It has a soft, smooth satiny dry down that wears for around six hours before showing some minor fading and disappearing completely at hour eight (around this time my eyes definitely needed a touch up).
Light
It doesn’t have as much brightening as I typically like in my concealer but does conceal most of the problems I want it too while giving my eyes a more awake appearance. I wouldn’t recommend it for those with oily eyes as you might find the texture is a touch too hydrating for your skin type which will result in it fading away and slipping around your eye easily. For those with drier eyes you’ll find the texture easy to apply and work with.
Overall, this is a vast improvement on some of the concealers I’ve tried from Josie. I liked it a lot. I honestly probably wouldn’t use it as a daily concealer as I prefer pots with deeper coverage but as a quickie natural look and go this has the ability to freshen up on my eyes easily with a few strokes and a blend out!
It’s available exclusively at QVC.com
