Laura Mercier Baked Blush Bronze

I should be shot for going against my no bronzer rule but the Laura Mercier Baked Blush Bronze in Ritual ($36) is just a little bit stunning and all beautiful so how can I resist?

With swirls of bronzer, brown, pink, and even a little chocolate this gorgeous baked bronzer is the perfect compliment to Summer looks!

Take a peek!

Launched with the Laura Mercier Folklore Collection for Summer 2013 the Baked Blush Bronze in Ritual is available for a limited time.

This quite reminds of Laura Geller’s Bright n Blush but on a higher level of pigment. It is intensely packed with color so a lighter hand is your best friend during application. It’s a shy too dark to be used as a blush in my humblest but with a lighter hand and a little practice you might just nail it as such.

It comes across as a very rich brown with elements of pink and gold but nothing muddy or too orange-y. It’ll work best on deeper darker skin tones that tan easily. On my own skin it’s a little overkill so when I do apply I have to use the lightest hand and a fan brush.

The texture is soft, silky and has as little sparkly element. Possibly the nicest thing about it is you can dust it on lids for a very sultry look.

This one might be worth exploring if you want a bolder more intense bronzer experience.

It’s on counters now and also online at lauramercier.com

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil is the only bronzer that I like. Can’t say that I’ve tried a ton though.

I just went on a bronzer binge over the last couple of months, but this sure does look tempting! I finally picked up both NARS Laguna & Casino, both of which are wonderful, but my fave ATM is the LORAC Tantalizer bronzer/highlighter duo.

For fairer skintones looking for something in this range, take a look at NARS Zen, or Milani Multi Tasking Face Powder in Deep Amber. Both are matte, but are in the same range, and not as dark. I’ve been using both as contour shades, and to “deepen” other blush shades.

I’m fair to light with cool pink undertone. NARS Zen is my favorite, matte, subtle, no orange tone at all.

I also have some of the Too Faced bronzers, BareMinerals Faux Tan, and both of the LORAC blush/bronzer duos. Those have to be applied with a light hand and a fan brush, but would look fantastic on medium skin.

I bought this recently and I love it! It’s a gorgeous accent to my summer tan. I never thought of using it as an eye shadow but wow, what a great idea! Thanks Muse!
