L’Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Glow Renewal Facial Oil Review
L’Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Glow Renewal Facial Oil Review ($16.99)
I’ve only been using L’Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Glow Renewal Facial Oil a few days but I have to say I love it. As a huge user of facial oil products such as Josie Maran’s Argan Oil and Tarte Maracuja Oil just to name a few I was skeptical about whether a drugstore brand could do a decent facial oil.
I was surprised, I love it. It might not be something everyone loves due to a variety of reasons I’ll address in this review but it personally worked out great for me.
Take a look!
L’Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Glow Renewal Facial Oil popped up recently at Walgreens and I wandered around the store for a good 30 minutes before I decided to indulge. I’m not really a huge fan of L’Oreal skincare so I wasn’t sure I would like this but I’m glad I did decide to purchase it as I adore it.
The oil is formulated for duller, drier, aging skin. My skin happens to be drier and duller but I do not have signs of aging on my face as of yet. It contains eight essential oils which could prove irritating for some but I honestly didn’t have any reaction to it for the few days I’ve used and I doubt I will with continued use. It is heavily scented and reminds me of Hourglass No 28 as it quite has a similar soothing herbal lavender scent that’s a spot on dupe for that product.
I adore Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum but it is pricey and on some levels this kinda sorta reminds me of it as it provides just as much moisture. I will say this isn’t a product you’ll want to use in the day even though the box directs you to use in the morning and the evening. No matter how dry you are, I seriously do not advise morning use as it’ll make your makeup slip right off your face.
It’s actually VERY, VERY hydrating more so than any facial oil I’ve tried before. They suggest 4 to 5 drops but 2 to 3 is plenty for your entire face. I actually apply a drop under my eyes too! It absorbs very quickly and leaves behind a slightly dewy to the touch finish. My skin feels instantly softer and more supple. Flakier areas are eased and my skin takes on a more even appearance. Overnight it does indeed restore some of my glow and eases dullness and that would be due to the amount of moisture it provides as my dullness is definitely from dryness.
If you’re looking for something to replenish drier skin I’d highly suggest trying it out. I do recommend it for those with less sensitive, drier skin though as I think the fragrance and essential oils could be potentially lethal for those with larger pores and sensitivities (the box does say it is suitable for sensitive skin but I question that).
I personally loved it and think if you can find it on sale it is well worth picking up.
It’s available at drugstores now.
Anyone try it?
Love to hear your thoughts!
