Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer Review

Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer

Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer sounds like the perfect moisturizer for me today. You know the “I stayed up too late wasting my life away gaming” moisturizer that gives you back your glow because your sleep deprived and dehydrated from sitting at your desk all night?

I got a preview of The Last of Us and won’t admit to the amount of time I’ve spent on it so far. Hours of my life I’ll never get back. Excuse me while I call in this review and get back to the game.

No seriously, part of my skincare issues stem from the fact I am simply not getting enough sleep so I’m wondering if Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer can restore my glow. Plus did I mention it’s a gel moisturizer…score! Dontcha just love gel moisturizers for Summer? I can’t be alone here.

Let’s take a look!

Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer ($26.50) is a new gel moisturizer that promises to boost your skin’s radiance and hydration while waking up your tired skin.

This contains panax ginseng as well as caffeine derived from coffee beans to optimize cellular energy and help condition skin. It has a pleasant sweet citrus grapefruit scent as well so perhaps a little aromatherapy will get you in gear if the coffee doesn’t help!

This is a gel moisturizer so it provides a good deal of water based hydration to skin. It absorbs easily and leaves behind just the right amount of hydration so skin isn’t left feeling greasy or looking oily. For Summer it proves the ideal lightweight texture that allows your skin to retain moisture but not to over do that amount of moisture.

For me it’s like a cold glass of water for my skin. It’s soft, soothing, and gives my skin the perfect amount of moisture without over doing it.

I could be delusional do to lack of sleep but my skin not only looks smoother after use but brighter as well after using this so I’m buying into what they are selling. And fact of the matter is the more hydrated your skin is the better it will look and this provides just the right of moisture all day which in returns some of the glow back to my lackluster complexion.

Oh noes our first fight! They are soooo adorable!! I just wanna keep em all in my room n use em as teddy bears :> George is my fav :O too cute to function. I haven’t saw the new episodes yet, I’m re watching season 2 to catch up. I heard the twins like… Combine?? Wth

          • 6/11/13 14:51 the Muse:

lol so wait does this mean you’re a one direction fan too!? George got that weird brow thing going on I’m so sorry but your taste in twinks is going downhill…do you feel ok!? yeah…apparently…..they had a scene with two dudes combining into one wolf but I couldn’t confirm if it was the twins (I almost spelled twins twinks…see where my dirty mind is?) or not? poor Styles is still being dumped all over by Lydia, nothing changes…they need to hook that boy up with a nice girl or boy and be done with it already forget Lydia. scott is all emo about whats her name and derek lost a little bit weight so he has this lean yet muscle look going on that’s kinda delicious oh and they have a british alpha that’s blind yet still very hot so long as he doesn’t take off his glasses (his eyes are all red and gross and weird). Ok, I think you’re all up to date on Season 3 now, you’re welcome. I only saw one eppy so far though…!

          • 6/11/13 14:52 the Muse:

they used some piss poor excuse about colton moving to London btw…I dunno where that came from.

When they said Jackson went to London, I was all “No, he didn’t! He went to Starling City to date Oliver Queen’s sister and eventually become Green Arrow’s sidekick!”

Oh, and I just figured out last night that the blind alpha is Gideon Emery, who voiced Fenris in Dragon Age II and I think also did VA work with BioWare on Mass Effect and Star Wars too.

Hey Muse, long time no comment ;)

How does this compare to Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream? I use that in dry (and just read your review) – had no idea about the alcohol but i really love it and it does exactly what I need for my combo skin. I see you love the Garnier one too, how does Origins compare (besides the cost difference)?

thicker consistency and a little creamier also doesn’t have that “water burst” feel when you blend it onto your skin that the garnier one does. feels like it brightens up my face as well but I could be imagining that ;D

This is my moisturiser! :) I was so excited to see the review, I hoped you would like it, I think it’s great. It’s not SO amazing that I want to stop looking, (I want to try Origins’ other moisturisers!) but I think it really lives up to the claims. I honestly think my skintone is more even since I started using this. If you’re up for it, I implore you to check out the Origin’s A Perfect World Skin Guardian, (it’s a serum) because I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be without it, I would give up EATING before I gave it up – ok, maybe not, but it would be a close race!!

Thanks for the review! I didn’t realize this was a gel cream moisturizer; I love those in the summertime! I’ve been trying out Philosophy’s Take a Deep Breath recently, which is nice for moisture but maybe just a tiny bit heavier than what I’m looking for in such a product. I also like the Garnier one mentioned in the comments above, as well as Clinique Moisture Surge. Will have to check out this one, too, since I love Origins! :)

Glad to see a review on this product. I’ve been using the GinZing eye cream for a little while now and it definitely works on the bags under my eyes. One of the best samples I had ever gotten out of a Sephora 500 point perk! I’ll have to try this when I’m done with my current moisturizer!
