Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss Review & Swatches
Having never tried the original Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss I can’t really speak for how it compares to the new one. Revlon recently introduced twelve brand new shades and new packaging to their Super Lustrous Lipgloss Collection as well as a new promo image featuring Emma Stone modeling these new glosses.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss is apparently a fond favorite because I’m reading tweets, blog posts, etc…etc..about how wild everyone is for these so of course, when I noticed Harmons had a new display of these I had to grab a few.
Take a look!
I believe I paid $5.49 per shade but Ulta does have them at Buy 1, Get 1 50% off at $7.99 each this week with Free Shipping on orders of $50 or more if you can’t find them locally.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss according to Revlon is a new silkier, non stick formula enriched with Vitamin E and Avocado Oil. Apparently the old version contained an SPF 15 but I can’t find any mention of that in this formula, just thought I’d note that.

I think people are going a little TOO crazy for these from what I’ve read and seen. They are ok but they don’t warrant that much excitement. Either that or I’m just nit picky.
The formula has an easy glide on lips with a quite hydrating formula that isn’t sticky, heavy, or tacky. They have tiny light reflecting pigments that give lips a pretty hint of shimmer. My lips felt incredibly comfortable through the wear as the formula doesn’t dry them out. The gloss stays where I put it without migrating either. Out of the two shades I tried both had a very nice hint of tint that was near opaque enough to cover my own natural lip color so pigment is quite good here. They have a sponge tip applicator which saturates very well with color so you can build the gloss easily on lips. I wish they were a bit more glossy and shiny.
Looking at from a drugstore lipgloss point of view I’d say they do reign supreme. Glosses seem to be a sore disappointment for me at the drugstore with many being too sticky, too sheer, or just too strange feeling on my lips. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss offers color in a fairly hydrating formula that doesn’t feel sticky. I think they are slightly over hyped, don’t kill me but nice none the less for drugstore lipgloss!
