Rimmel Exaggerated Glam for Summer 2013

Rimmel Exaggerated Glam Summer 2013

The Rimmel Exaggerated Glam Collection is a new collection featuring Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer and Rimmel Scandaleyes Curve Alert Mascara. This collection also features some Rimmel Glam Eyes Quads as well.

I was interested in trying out the new Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer for sure so I picked it up.

Let’s take a quick look!

Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer is a new eyeshadow primer that prevents creasing and intensifies color eyeshadows for long wear. According to Rimmel it extends shadow by four to seven hours of wear. Sounds reasonable to me considering all these insane 24 hour claims lately!

The Exggerated Glam Collection is also a showcase for Rimmel’s newest mascara, Scandaleyes Curve Alert Mascara which is a new lifting and plumping mascara that gives lashes a 50% more fuller appearance.

I believe the quads are all shades that have been launched in the general catalog but don’t quote me there.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I tried the eyeshadow primer, and it creased and my shadows didn’t last. 🙁 Had high hopes for it too!

BUMMER! 🙁 I was looking forward to the eye primer. I have slightly oily lids, so this would probably crease on me also.

Exactly! Worst primer I’ve ever tried, creased after no time on my oily lids, and had a weird texture as well!

I bought the eye shadow quads in Crown Jewels and Royal Tea. I was fairly impressed with the pigmentation and smoothness of Crown Jewels, but was pretty disappointed with Royal Tea. The matte shades barely showed up and the shimmery champagne color was chalky. It’s funny how formulation can vary so greatly from one palette to the next!

Rimmel has done a stand-up jobs with the names of their quads, though!

Beautiful in the package, but seriously bad on pigmentation and wear time. :/ It sucks because Rimmel used to have single shadows that were so good.
