Secret Key Snow White Milky Pack Review
Secret Snow White Milky Pack is a facial mask I recently picked up from one of my favorite E-bayers. This was a tempting little morsel of a face mask since it contains niacinamide. Since it is a wash off pack you have to question whether that niacinamide is even worth the bother.
But apparently there is a method to Secrey Key’s madness.
Take a look!
I have a love hate relationship with Secret Key Snow White Milky Pack so this is both a rave and a rant and everything else in between.
This has a high level of niacinamide which is proven to improve skin’s elasticity and help with discolorations and just giving skin a more healthy tone and texture.
In fact this is a whitening pack so niacinamide is used to brighten your complexion.
This is very thick, very creamy, and incredibly difficult to wash away. Even after you wash it away it leaves a thicker film on your face which you pat into place so in fact you’re not completely washing away all the good stuff in this mask. Believe you me it sticks around well after you’ve washed it off.
That’s part of the oddness for me and possibly the dislike part as well. I don’t love that I can never fully rinse it away. It’s just clings like nobody’s business. Seriously this is just not moving. I suggest a thinner layer left on for two to three minutes and washed away with lukewarm water. The results are instant. Your face will appear brighter and yes, whiter as in pasty white. The effect is temporary however, the brightness when used with the Secret Key Snow White Cream not long term.
I personally think they use the same trick that many Korea white pack masks use to get the whitening effect which is titanium dioxide. You know that strange pasty effect your sunscreen gives your skin? The same method is used in many Korea facial packs…they use titanium dioxide to give that white, bright effect after using it. Granted, it is temporary but it does appear that your face looks quite a good deal whiter. Granted if you’re tan or olive complexion it will look odd but if you have fair or medium fair skin it actually works to ease dullness and give your skin a more uniform appearance. You can take a look at some before and after shots here.
Personally, the mask is an oddity but not like other items I’ve tried in the past. I do like the effects of using this along with the facial cream/primer they make in the same line. When used together my face looks less dull and more brighter and lively. Although difficult to wash away I have to admit I like the effect of this overall and I’d probably continuing to use it weekly.
I’ll review the face cream shortly as well.
Anyone try this?
