Sephora Pro Visionary Highlighting Fan Brush Review

Sephora Pro Visionary Highlighting Fan Brush

Might I recommend the Sephora Pro Visionary Highlighting Fan Brush #122 ($38)? I was discussing blushes last week like the new NARS Rotonde and Boys Don’t Cry shades and I realized how often I reach for a fan brush to apply shades like this.

I also love using a fan brush with highlighters or to apply bronzers like the new Milani TANtastic Bronzer. Fan brushes are just a little more precise at application with pigmented or too shimmery products. They pick up a hell of a lot less product than your standard blush or bronzer and make it easier to get a faint yet glowing flush of color on your cheeks without over doing it.

For heavy handed folks like me they are a beauty tool god sent.

Now I own a few fan brushes but NONE as big as the Sephora Pro Visionary Highlighting Fan Brush. This is really a massive fan brush that has floppier less dense, very full, long bristles. The bristles are soft and shed-free so they feel quite lovely on your face. I’ve always compared Sephora’s brushes to MAC’s because they are some really great pro brushes that you can justify the price for as the quality is here.

This is a very fluffy brush so I’d stick to applying highlighter on your face or body with it but not blush as you’ll have messy application due to the floppier bristles. Actually…the brush is so big it probably does best on legs, arms and decollete other than anywhere else. But it will also work with loose powders if you’d like to simply dust on some loose powder to set your makeup!

If you often apply body bronzer, body shimmers, etc…the Pro Visionary Highlighting Fan Brush is a solid performing brush for such mediums.

If you’re looking for something with a little more precision though you might need something a smidge smaller in that case Sephora also offers a standard size fan brush.

Either way, with Summer here I imagine this one will come in handy for applying bronzer lightly!

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

P.S. Who watched the season premiere of Teen Wolf? Not loving the Double Mint twins, guess they are Colton Haynes replacement now that he’s on Arrow. At least Dylan O’Brien is still cast because if he wasn’t I’d boycott, just sayin’! He was rather fab in The Internship…ahem! I feel slightly perv-y since I’m quite older than he but only slightly….!

Please can Styles please get the girl already!? Poor guy!

This morning Seth Rogen was on Howard Stern promoting This is the End and of course, Howard being Howard he had to go there and ask if Emma Watson got it on with James Franco. My sister turns to me and says “ew he’s old enough to be her father”…what the hell am I supposed to say about the relationship in my head that I have with Dylan O’Brien?

Slinks away.

And the by the way…seriously, I’m sure Emma Watson’s MIND went there. He’s James Franco FFS!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
