Skin Food Vita Water Drop CC Cream Review and Swatches

Skin Food Vita Water Drop CC Cream

Skin Food Vita Water Drop CC Cream SPF 35 PA ++ was recently introduced in Korea and comes in two cute designer tubes. From my understanding the formulas are the same but the tubes they come in are different. I’ve been on a CC Cream kick lately so I was excited about trying out Skin Food’s formula.

Who knows maybe Skin Food CC Cream could become my next favorite?

I don’t really love Water Drop formulated anything in terms of BB Cream so I suspected I wouldn’t love a BB Cream in the Water Drop formula. For comparison purposes you might see my Dr Jart Water Fuse BB Cream post as this sorta kinda has a similar texture and consistency.

This comes in a smaller tube with a pump attached. The pump thankfully works well and distributes just the right amount of product when pressed.

The CC Cream isn’t white or self adjusting, it comes in a single shade of glowing nude peach that has pink undertones when blended. I find the coverage is sheer but that isn’t an issue considering it is supposed to be a color correcting formula. It actually offers more coverage than a self adjusting white CC Cream would even with the sheerer finish.

It has a creamy yet water consistency as you blend out. It has a rather strong citrus, earthy fragrance that I didn’t like at first but got used to after a few uses. It blends fairly easier on my drier skin and doesn’t cling to drier areas. It has a dewy to the touch dry down that’s very lightweight and flawless. Although it has a glow-y appearance swatched it doesn’t apply with that glow thankfully. Unfortunately the color doesn’t adjust well so it looks too ghastly pale on my skin. It’ll do well evening out skin tone and brightening on the right skin tone. It wears a little shorter due to the moistness of the product so you’re looking at around four hours before it fades completely away.

Skin Food Vita Water Drop CC Cream Swatches

I wasn’t particularly keen on Skin Food Vita Water Drop CC Cream. The formula wasn’t too my liking…the creaminess is nice at first but as you blend the watery texture just isn’t my deal as I feel like I’m wiping away my makeup with water rather applying a foundation product. The shorter wear time disappoints as well considering the excellent wear I typically see from both CC and BB Creams. This might be a good pick if you like dewy base products that are water based. The sheerer coverage will do ok correcting but the best correcting benefits I’ve seen from Asia as of late are the white self adjusting CC Creams. This leans towards being a product that’s in between BB Cream, CC Cream, and simple tinted moisturizer so it hasn’t quite made up its mind about what it wants to be.

I tried this CC cream, too, and it’s my first CC cream I tried so far. I like it a lot, because of the glow and it evens out my skintone. I tested some western “BB creams” with those color changing beads and I never liked them.
