Victoria’s Secret Sheer Drama Hydrating Lipstick Review & Swatches
Have you met the new Victoria’s Secret Sheer Drama Hydrating Lipstick launched with the new VS In Paradise Summer 2013 Collection? If not I urge you to head in store and swatch these gorgeous little lipsticks and I’ll guarantee you’ll fall in love.
Take a look!
My obsession with sheer, balm-like lipstick continues and the new Victoria’s Secret Sheer Drama Hydrating Lipstick ($14) fits the bill! These are great! They should an entire collection of colors.
At the moment they offer them in three shades which are:
Thrill Me
Can’t Wait
Entice
Can’t Wait, Entice, Thrill Me
They come in a solid black tube with a pedestal-like bottom done in metallic pink. Just a note but I had issues swiveling one shade down. Could be a fluke but I suggest you check it out before purchasing and make sure you can swivel the lipstick up and down before a purchase. Nothing gets on my nerve more than a faulty lipstick.
The formula here is similar to Maybelline Color Whispers with about the same color pay off but with a balmy texture. I’d say they are a step above your standard run of the mill tinted lip balm. They have a moisturizing feel with a balmy texture that feels quite comfortably soft on lips. They apply like a butter and leave behind fairly nice color that’s on the borderline of being sheer yet opaque enough that your true lip color won’t show through. They have a high sheen finish and a slight vanilla taste and scent.
I love how natural they look on my lips and how comfortable they wear providing moisture so my lips feel soft and smooth through the wear. Doesn’t hurt that the colors are very pretty too so I get the benefits of a moisturizing lip balm slash lip butter slash lipstick AND color too!
Entice
Thrill Me
Can’t Wait
They wear about three hours and fade into hour four without eating or drinking.
If you like sheerer, buttery lipsticks I’m positive you’ll adore these.
Muse Approved.
Try them!
They aren’t to be missed!
P.S. Love Spell EDP is on sale during the Semi-Annual. I got two more bottles for $16 each (originally $35 something per bottle). NICE score 🙂
