Clarins Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact Review & Swatches
Clarins massive Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact ($35) is a gorgeous bronzer disc that launched with the Splendours Summer 2013 Collection. This is a whooping 0.70 oz of bronzer so if you’re a sun goddess this will last you all through the season and well into the Winter when you’re missing the warm, sunny weather!
Take a look!
Clarins Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact consists of three colors in a satiny formula with a very subtle shimmery glow. The colors graduate around the circle from warm golden terracotta brown to a lighter tan and a spot of shimmering peach gold located right dab in the middle.
This has a soft, silky finely milled texture and applies evenly onto skin with accentuating drier areas on my face. It give a very warm golden brown color to skin that would mimic the shade of a natural tan on someone who tans easily. It does build easily so you can sheer it out but this takes a very light hand so I’d recommend a fan brush for a lighter finish. Although mostly matte in finish the texture has a very silky feel without applying patchy or uneven. I typically dislike matte bronzers but this gives such a natural glow I find the finish very forgivable. I really wish the small spot of golden peach was a little bigger as I think that would add more of a glow to the overall look this creates.
At this price you’re getting a TON of bronzer so you might feel inclined to use it all over your body as well if you happen to have a body kabuki handy!
If you like sugar free (no sparkle) bronzers you’ll find the Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact a fairly perfect powder to create that perfect just in from the sun tan.
