Cool Off Skin with the Etude House Ice Shot Collection

Etude House Ice Shot Summer 2013

Heat wave is on ladies and lads. It’s been quite humid in Gotham the last two weeks or so. I was away a few days for the 4th but friends told me it was a brutal holiday. Like fry an egg on the concrete brutal.

I’ll be honest as much as I love me my little city I think that California weather is my ideal. Cool in the morning, hot in the afternoon, sunny but not soupy, and just right in the evening some coolness, sometimes a little heat but no humidity. Yeah, I kinda wish I could be a California girl sometimes.

But we have trusty tools in our arsenal to keep us cool! Especially our skin! Like the new Etude House Ice Shot Collection for Summer 2013.

Etude House releases some sort of cooling mist or another every single Summer. Many, many brands do similar style products. It’s basically like a shot of dry ice in a can! You can’t spray it directly onto your skin mind you but you can spray it on a cotton pad and dab it on your face for a cooling effect or as some brands promote it a way to tighten and reduce the appearance of pores. There method of madness is that the pores will shrink when you swipe them down with something extremely cold!

This year Etude House introduces their new Ice Shot Freeze Foam. Now Etude House Ice Shot Freeze Foam looks like a gimmick but damn if it isn’t a cool gimmick! This basically produces a fine yet rubbery mousse when you mist it onto skin. They suggest misting it onto your arm, molding it, and proceeding to place it anywhere on your face or body for a cooling effect. It’s like silly string air conditioner 101. Seriously…! Do we really need this? Hell no. Do we really want this? Hells yes! It just sounds freaking cool right?

Also joining the Ice Shot Freeze Foam is the new Etude House Ice Shot Jelly Mist which is a new thicker cooling mist for nightly use prior to skincare or used as a light moisturizer prior to heading to bed.

Whatcha think?

Cooling Mousse and mist?

Yeah we need some of that to keep us nice and cool!

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Muse, is Etude House only available through eBay to the US? I’ve been so curious.

no Stephanie 🙁 Korea and a few select asian countries. I tend to ask friends to get it for me or buy from E-bay and a variety of online shops.

I’ve been using the heck out of my evian spray this week, maybe this stuff would be fun.

Yeah, this totally sounds so crazy…I may have to check it out, too! Why are we always drawn to the unusually stuff!

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. As someone who lives in GA (where it not only gets ridiculously hot, but incredibly humid) and as someone whose face sweats profusely in even 75℉ weather, I NEED THIS. I really hope I could mold that mousse onto my forehead over makeup! Or at least keep a patch hidden on my forehead under my Starbucks hat as I work–it’s stupidly hot behind the counter in my store, and I doubt customers like seeing a sweaty barista!

Totally tried the freeze foam today! It works! 😀 It’s kinda really cold though. Like it feels like ice so it’s quite a shock if you’ve been out in the cold

OMG do I need to check these out. I live in the very sunny and soupy city of Baltimore and feel like these will be a lovely addition to my refrigerated toner mist collection.
