Dior Peacock Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
The Dior Peacock (434) Eyeshadow Palette ($60) is one of two limited edition eyeshadow palettes released with the Dior Summer 2013 Collection. This is a mix of lovely shades of green which is quite appealing to me as greens seem to do something delightful for my brown eyes.
Let’s take a look!
The Dior Peacock Eyeshadow Palette contains five eyeshadows and two applicators for application. This is a little pricey at $60, ouch! I remember when Dior Eyeshadow Palettes were $45 each and at the time I thought that was a fair price but at $60 I do slightly wince.
It is, however, fairly good quality for your buck and includes shades that all work very well together to create a single eye look or mix and match to create several looks.
It comes with a medium green shade, a yellow beige, an aqua green, a light almost aqua yellow, and a lighter khaki green. I was thankful there wasn’t too much frost here as Dior palettes seem to have a knack for going very frosty on me. All the colors had sheer to medium color payoff and applied and blended smoothly on my lids without an issue. They have a smoother, velvety texture and wear a solid six hours on my eyes without creasing or fading. However, worked best with primer under them to add vibrancy and to keep them long wearing at around 10 hours straight without fading or creasing.
I love shades like this so I found the Peacock Eyeshadow Palette a fairly lovely little palette that had a good selection of colors that worked flawlessly together. Too many times palettes contain a mix match of shades that really boggle the mind. The Dior Peacock Eyeshadow Palette combined some very lovely shades of green that all worked well together and looked gorgeous on my eyes!
Do like!
I do think the price threw me off for a second though as it has been a while since I purchased a Dior Eyeshadow Palette so I was shocked. But it is Dior so one wouldn’t expect to pay less.
