Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil for Hair & Body Review

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil for Hair & Body

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil for Hair, Body, and yes, for your face too! What?! True story! This multitasking joy can be used on dry hair and dry skin!

Does it really work?

Maybe!

Ok, no offense but combo and oily skin need not apply if you are plotting and planning to purchase this for your face! Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil is a new fine mist dry oil that can be used on your hair, body, and your face however, I would recommend it for those with drier skin if you plan on using on your face. It is however, perfectly great on your legs, arms, and hair if you have combo/oily skin!

This comes in a 5oz bottle and has a fresh, floral-like scent. I find the scent pleasant but if you’re sensitive it could prove a bit much especially if you’re using it on your face. I also feel like that fragrance could lend a helping hand to break outs so beware.

I don’t love dry oil mists or sprays in all honesty. They make me feel slippery or yeah, a little greasy. Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil used on my legs, arms, or body does indeed have that greasy, slick feel and I’m not really comfortable with it. It does hydrate my drier skin especially my legs and it gives them this rather slick glossy look which could be potentially awesome for some people. However, me, personally, well I don’t really love the look. It’s all a matter of your preference. I’d probably prefer using it in the night prior to bed when I know I can benefit from the moisture but can easily wash it off come morning.

This contains a host of great ingredients like almond oil, shea butter, and avocado oil just to name a few so there are definitely some great moisturizing benefits to be had here.

I have drier, super long, wavy hair with some frizz and I didn’t really like it in my hair either. It gave me a little bit of a greasy bedhead look…mmm not good. Again, it’ll vary from hair type to hair type I’m sure.

Finally, the most exciting part for me, was the fact you could use on your face. I’m not sure how I feel about something that I’m misting in my hair and on my body that can be used on my face. Sounds weird but still cool. Garnier suggests misting onto hands and pressing the oil onto your face using your hands. I’d avoid misting directly on your face as it is an oil and could get into your eyes and cause major cloudy vision so do not do that. Mist it onto the palms of your hands and press it directly onto your skin. It feels quite hydrating on skin but again the fragrance worries me as it might cause break outs on a far more sensitive skin type than my own. I used it for a few weeks as a nightly treatment and I didn’t chance going out of the house with it during the day as it leaves me quite shiny looking. It feels very nice and quite hydrating but didn’t technically treat my drier areas! After I rinse off the product in the morning my patchy, drier areas were still very much there. I couldn’t help but think of all the other oils I already own, use, and like such as Josie’s Argan Oil and felt like those products did a far superior job treating dry areas where as this was only a temporary hydrating effect. It did however. effectively treat drier areas on my body like my knees showed improvement after using this.

All in all it seems like a nifty little product to have on hand and I imagine it’ll produce different results for a variety of different skin and hair types. I picture some folks adoring it where as others won’t like it. I was in the middle myself. I thought the idea interesting but the actual product a little uneventful since it didn’t work for me.

I would recommend trying it for yourself! You might just like it.

I picked this up a few weeks ago and I’m about 1/4th through the bottle. I’m not sure I like it either. The concept of a spray oil seems nice and convenient in theory… until you realize your floors are getting moisturized too, haha. I love how this stuff smells but it doesn’t hydrate enough for me even though I have oily/ combo skin. It doesn’t actually seem to do anything but make my feel a bit greasy for a hot minute. A few hours later my legs look and feel sorta scaly and parched. When I use it in my hair I see no noticeable difference, but of course I don’t want to over-apply and end up with greasy strands. I’m too scurred to use it on my face.

In terms of multi-tasking oils I’ve been really really loving the Lierac 3-Flowers Sensory Oil! You should check it out. CVS carries Lierac now and they usually have a tester out too. 🙂

I grabbed a bunch of these dirt-cheap a while back. I also find that this oil leaves my hair and skin greasy, but it is my HG for taking off eye makeup. If its budge-proof or smudge-proof I’ll be wearing it, and I take it all off by spritzing a pad with this oil and pressing it over my eyes to dissolve it.

This sounds good for me! I love oils. I tend to like simple ones like neutrogena sesame. I am a life long eczema sufferer and the neutrogena is a 3 ingredient simple spray “dry” oil that helps when I’m in a Spell. For good skin days I like to try others and I think this budget buy is going on my list. Also in case you didn’t know. if you put dry oil on slightly damp skin it really helps keep the greasy feeling away.

    Hi Muse!
I bought this oil recently to take with me to the beach so I could use it to basically cover my fine hair and protect it from the salt water and then later from the pool water. For that purpose, I have to say it worked GREAT! After I left the beach/pool I just showered, washed my hair as normal and didn’t notice any extra dryness or that sort of “hay-like” texture that happens when chlorine and salt water damage your hair. In fact it was actually pretty soft and shiny after I let it air dry. Totally worth the $6 I paid for it just for that alone. ^_^
I also used it as a moisturizer on my arms and legs afterwards, and it works for that, but still, the best results were for protecting my hair.

Yeah definitely try it in damp hair b4 blow drying, I poured mine into my shu bottle and use a pump which has to be more than 2 sprays, and I definitely have less hair than you and it isn’t greasy at all when I use it :X

Your using too much wifey, this is very easy to overdue if you only use a little you don’t have any slick greasy feeling. Just soft n supple. Try using it in damp hair that might help too.

mmmm I only applied about two mists worth and mind you I have a lot of hair ;-D def will try on damp hair!

I wore my hair down the other day, the next day I woke up my forehead was broken out into a minefield 🙁 I’m still recovering. I went to ulta n bought a kit of the Macadamia natural oil products, ever try em? Still testing but I’m liking em so far. Still sad this broke me out 🙁

I’m not wowed by this either, for hair or skin. I’m going to try to give mine away

This works great on my thick curly hair (type 2c/3a)!

I also add a little bit of coconut oil to so it’s more nourishing.

I have only recently discovered that I have naturally curly hair (funny what happens when you stop using sulphate shampoos and conditioners and styling products that contain silicones) and am in the process of discovering what products work best on my hair.

My stylist recommended using an oil on my hair as part of my curly girl regeime. After I wash and condition my hair, I put only two spritzes in my palms and evenly distribute over the canopy and then scrunch up from the ends. The next product is gel which I allow to dry and form a cast on my hair which I later scrunch out once it is dry/set.

My hair (naturally curly hair is super dry) is moist and fabulous.

For second day hair, I mist with lavender water and scrunch a bit of aloe vera get in. I put one sprtiz of this oil on my palms and lightly coat the canopy of my hair to bring down the frizz.

As long as I don’t spray directly on my hair or use too much, it’s fabulous!

I used this product too and is very greasy for my hair so I bought Pro Naturals Argan oil and its much better!! have you used it?

I bought this oil for my hair, and was not immediately impressed. I thought it would be perfect for bringing shine back into my dull hair. I went home and followed the instructions, and was disappointed when it made my hair look like it hadn’t been washed in months. It took me a few weeks to muster up the courage to try it again, but this time I sprayed it on a paddle brush. After flipping my head and brushing the length of my dry hair first, I was happy with the results of soft, shiny hair without oily roots. It is now a stapel in my daily hair routine!
