Lumene Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Color Correcting Cream Review & Swatches
As you know Lumene has introduced a new Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Color Correcting Cream that’s launching in drugstores this July for the Fall 2013 season. I really thought that Lumene did a fairly nice job with their Vitamin C+ Illuminating Anti-Age BB Cream so I was pretty excited to explore their CC Cream formula.
Lumene Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Color Correcting Cream will be available in two shade selections (light and medium) and promises a color correcting formula with an SPF 20 that multitasks at a few different things.
Let’s take a look!
Lumene Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Color Correcting Cream ($14.99) comes in a 1 oz tube so it is a little smaller, at the same price, as the BB Cream which is 1.7 oz in size.
This is a good deal thinner in consistency than the BB Cream and isn’t as creamy. It isn’t a typical color adjusting formula we’re seeing from Asia at the moment so you will have to fit in with the Light or Medium tone they offer unfortunately. I used the Light which is a light ivory with beige and slight pink undertones. I find it is sheerer so I can get away with the Light shade without it look pasty on my skin or unnatural. The color is very fresh once applied and brightens up my skin while easing dullness. You have to remember this is a color correcting formula so it corrects but doesn’t necessarily cover major problems. It’ll ease redness quite well in my opinion, brightens up skin, and covers slight imperfections but won’t conceal major problems such as acne scarring, heavier rosacea issues, etc…
The texture is beautiful to work with. Although thinner and not nearly as creamy as Lumene’s BB Cream it still has a fairly nice bit of creaminess to it. It has a certain hydrating feel on skin with a watery-like texture that moisturizes delicately without creating greasiness or shine. It has a light subtle fresh fragrance that disappears once applied on skin. The SPF 20 is a little low, I’d have preferred something a little higher but outside of this the formula was quite lovely. It wore on me for a solid five hours and showed minor wear at hour six and faded a good deal by hour seven.
Overall, Lumene Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Color Correcting Cream has only two things against it as far as I’m concerned. That would be the lower SPF and the lack of shades. Outside of this I’d say the formula is quite lovely on a whole. If you do fit into the shade range and don’t mind the lower SPF this is a fairly nice color correcting formula that perfects skin, creates a flawless finish, and brightens up skin while offering very basic hydration for Summer wear. The coverage is light, breathable, and fairly natural!
I like this one!
I wish it was self adjusting but outside of that I’d say it was quite lovely!
It’s available now at drugstores.
Anyone try it?
