Marc Jacobs Honey Eau de Parfum

Marc Jacobs introduces his new Honey Eau de Parfum for Fall 2013. If you loved the whimsical ladybug good nature of Marc Jacobs Dot, you’ll absolutely adore Honey which features a bottle that looks like a little bee!

Buzz buzz bitches!

But don’t be fooled where as Dot features sweeter more delicate floral notes, Honey is actually more pop, fun, and flirtatiousness!

Marc Jacobs puts a modern twist on his bottle of Honey Eau de Parfum with a striking mix of pearls, dots, and stripes down in a yellow, black, and white design that resembles that of a playful bee buzzing happily away at a flower (or perhaps it’ll remind you of a butterfly!). The polished glass bubble bottle is a cheerful shade of yellow with shimmering pearl accents and a gold face plate featuring its namesake.

Marc Jacobs Honey Fragrance

Marc Jacob Honey Eau de Parfum takes some of the gorgeous floral notes from his popular Dot fragrance and channels them into this new fragrance with the golden touch of honey!

Honey is a sassy, sunny floral scent with fruity top notes such as pear, mandarin, and fruit punch. Her fruity elements are combined with touches of softer florals like orange blossom and honeysuckle with a graceful dry down of honey, vanilla, and a smooth woodsy base. I think the floral notes dominate here as first mist you will get some sweeter fruity notes but upon dry down it’s all about honeysuckle, a smoother touch of soft honey, and vanilla. It has a little twang in the background which stems from the orange blossom and honeysuckle combination.

There isn’t complete warmth here but Honey is warmer and less “fun” than Dot was. Dot has sweeter notes and elements that makes it more playful where as Honey has a more serious fragrance note. Don’t let that sway you though she’s still rather playful and idea for daily use.

I wouldn’t say the honey elements here dominate the fragrance so if you’re looking for a truer, golden honey fragrance this won’t be your girl. However, if you like faint traces of honey in your fragrance combined with delicate floral you’ll enjoy Honey.

She’s available for purchase now at Sephora and Sephora.com and launches later this fall at your favorite stores including Nordstrom, Macys, etc…with a range of fragrance, body lotion, and shower gel!

Have you sniffed Honey?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Sounds like it’s right up my alley. I’m gonna have to go smell it this weekend… and probably get a sample =)

I just received it a couple days ago and LOVE it! I normally wear Clinique…Happy, Happy in Bloom, Happy Heart but I love this because it’s a little flowery but has a definite zing to it.

Thanks for mentioning what you normally reach for. I dislike the way the Happy perfumes smell on me but love the way it smells on others. I’ll have to give this a try.

I sniffed it this week and I really love it. Much better than Dot, which I find very pepper-like.

NEED! THIS! I adore Dot and wear it often. I cannot wait to get my hands on Honey and take it for a spin

I really thought I was going to love this when I tried it at Sephora because honeysuckle, pear, and honey are my jam when it comes to perfume. It must be my body chemistry, but this turned into plain old daisies on me. I didn’t get a hint of vanilla or anything.

When I saw the bottle the first thing I thought was, why are there butterfly’s striped like bees on the bottle? I don’t wear Dot but ill still give this a sniff next time I’m in the ol’ brick and mortar.

Smelled it at the grand opening of Sephora in Iowa City was blown away this one is a keeper! Unique and awesome at the same time you will not be disappointed. I hope I win it in Allure’s beauty giveaway it was one of the prizes last Thursday. The 1st 500 people to sign up at 8PM EDT would win one! This scent is really nice, liked it much better than DOT, which was too strong, or just not me.

What a lovely surprise! Marc Jocobs Honey edp is a beautifully balanced and enriching perfume, with just the right balance of fruity, floral, vanilla and smooth woods notes for a harmonious and distinctive yet unpretentious signature perfume. As claimed, Honey’s truly warm, golden and sparkling, with quite a softly piquant ambiance which keeps it from being bland. At first I thought the cute un-classic bottle design would indicate a perfume somehow a bit lacking in character, but I was wrong, the bottle design is all time modern – and in terms of “classic” meaning an ideal one of a kind, the synthesis of scent, name, bottle and box design is cutely classic-modern. Honey’s an uplifting, energising perfume, yet soothing and comforting. Well done!
