Maybelline Pure Eraser Mineral Healthy Foundation Review & Swatches

Maybelline Pure Eraser Mineral Healthy Eraser Foundation 6

Maybelline Pure Mineral Pure Eraser Mineral Healthy Eraser Foundation is Japane’s version of the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup which I happen to dislike. Yak…to slippery!

Supposedly Japan’s formula is formulated with eight different minerals with an SPF 26 and promises to even out skin tone and can be worn alone or as a primer of sorts.

Take a look!

Unlike the US version, Maybelline Pure Eraser Mineral Healthy Eraser Foundation is available in merely six shades. I picked up OC-2 for myself a few months ago for myself at Sasa.com and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it as I expected the formula to be as slick as the Instant Age Rewind version.

Like our version this has a tiny puff for application with a twist to apply bottle that allows product to follow into the attached puff. The puff is soft, fluffy, and makes for a rather great application technique but I admit I find it rather disgusting after a few uses as there isn’t anyway to remove and wash it off.

OC-2 is a cooler ivory with very light beige undertones. This shade is a fairly good match for myself skin if not a little light but since it is sheer I have no issues with the color. Unlike our version this starts out moisturizing with a soft, smooth glide on skin but it dries down to a semi-matte finish. Thankfully it does not accentuate my drier areas with the finish and looks and feels fairly smooth and perfect on my skin. I like how it brightens up my skin and perfects with a lighter formula that feels weightless on. It’s almost as if I dusted powder onto my face any applied nothing else but still get the benefits of a great foundation product that eases unevenness, brightens dullness, and perfect skin.

Indeed, it does make a rather excellent prep for BB Cream or foundation of your choice as well due to that sheer, natural coverage it provides. If you find that it is too sheer no worries the lightness of the product gives you plenty of room to improvise with a fuller coverage product yet still gain the benefits of using this as a brightening base for tired or stressed out skin.

For those with oily or combination skin you’ll find the semi-matte texture provides a relief to oily areas around your face and mattifies them well.

Wear time seems excellent for me even in humid weather with a solid six hours of wear with some fading around hour seven.

If you’re currently shopping for lighter coverage for Summer I’d highly suggest trying this out. The limited shade selection is disappointingly unfortunate but if you do happen to find a match I think you’ll find this is much better than our own version available here in the US.

I got mine at Sasa.com

Anyone try it?

That’s too funny. The first time i’ve ever seen a drugstore foundation that doesn’t look too orange/pink and it’s for Japan. figures 🙂

Can you just squeeze it out and apply it to a brush or sponge so that it stays somewhat sanitary?

Yeah, I love this, I have been using this for 5, 6 months now. Have pretty good coverage but still light and being pretty cheap, I bought a few extra replaceable sponge so it’s more hygienic. I don’t know why but the maybelline japanese line products seem to have a different formula. I live in Hong Kong and I always watch out for the japanese line in drugstore.

muse-Im a little to young for full makeup, but I love products that make my skin look better and anything that has to do with lips. So…I’m looking for some muse-approved products that are for someone a little on the younger side.
would it be too much to ask for some suggestions?
    thank you x200!

I tried many Maybelline products and I can sadly say that I had never been satisfied with, indeed I have not tried this one and sincerely hope that it will make me change my opinion.

I have this product, and the sponge puff is actually removable! You can take it out and wash it 🙂
