Shills Electric Eyes Concealer SPF 50 Review & Swatches

Shills Electric Eyes Concealer

For all my fairest of the fair ladies and lads out there I present Shills Electric Eyes Concealer (with SPF 50 w00t). I reviewed Shills Electric Eye Concealer a rather long time ago and I absolutely adored it but I quickly realized that Shills Closer to You is a better fit for my skin tone.

If you recently read my review of Shills Closer to You and you have fairer skin with pink undertones I think you’ll get on quite happily with Shills Electric Eyes Concealer.

Take a look!

Shills Electric Eyes Concealer comes in a cute vintage compact featuring a pin-up girl of sorts on the cover. I’ve likened Shills packaging to Benefit’s in the past and they have even done some dupes of products that Benefit Cosmetics offers.

This is a highly emollient yet thinner formula concealer with a super creamy and easy to blend formula. All concealers should be as lovely as this! Unfortunately, I’ve come to realize that Electric Eyes isn’t particularly a great shade for me so if you’re more medium fair I’d go with Closer to You but if you’re fair or paler with pinker undertones Electric Eyes is a better fit! Not only does this brighten up eyes but it conceals dark circles, fine lines and puffiness while perfecting the eye area and creating a flawless finish. It’s very hydrating so drier eyes will find it blends like butter! It’s extra creamy and slides easily under the driest of dry eyes. The formula quite reminds me of Bobbi Brown’s Correcter Concealers but with a thinner, easy to use formula. I’ve reviewed Electric Eyes in the past and it didn’t have an SPF in the formula so I’m happy to report that this new improved version contains an SPF 50. It’s such a rarity for eye creams or concealers to have a higher SPF.

I don’t have an issue with it creasing or fading so long as I set it with a finishing powder of some sort. I like using Skin Food Dark Circle Powder but any transparent powder will do the trick! I think, in particularly, oily eyes should take proper care when setting it as it can slip around easily and possibly crease or fade away due to the hydrating finish. So do use some powder to set for all day wear!

Overall, if you have tired, drier eyes in need of a pick me up I can’t recommend Electric Eyes Concealer enough! This one gains a Muse Approval plus it’s only $10 bucks!

Loves!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
