Shills Perfect Cover BB Cream Review & Swatches

Shills Perfect Cover BB Cream

One of the first BB Creams I ever tried was Shills 8 in 1 BB Cream. I absolutely adored it to say the least so anytime they release something new I’m right on top of it. The Shills Perfect Cover BB Cream isn’t entirely new but it is one of their more recent BB Cream releases that I’ve been using most of the Summer.

This one gets a Muse Approval.

Shills Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 50 actually is one of the sheerer BB Cream formulas I’ve run across from Shills but it still has plenty of coverage to create flawless beauty. The great thing about this BB Cream is the light, breathable coverage it provides. I mean even sheerer you can still take all your US BB Creams, combine them, and Shills Perfect Cover BB Cream would still offer more coverage than any of them applied together.

This is a gel-like consistency with a rich, cream formula with a delicate rose scent. The shade is a lighter peachy beige with strong peach undertones and some yellow. The color won’t be flattering for all skin tones but it does adjust quite well once applied in my experience.

It has a fairly good moisturizing formula but isn’t one for creating extra or unneeded moisture. This means you can easily use your own moisturizer and prime to prep and not worry about your BB Cream also supplying extra hydration. Although I have drier skin there is such a thing as too much sometimes. I like this is a little bit more of a satiny finish versus a dewy one. It doesn’t create unnecessary shine or oil for me and manages what little shine I do experience on my forehead, nose, and chin area. Coverage runs sheer but there is plenty of pigment here to cover minor and major issues such as redness, darkness, minor acne scarring, etc…it sharpens your skin and creates a more uniformed flawless finish so pores are blurred, imperfections are covered, and skin looks flawless and beautiful on a single application.

I do suggest proper prepping and primer prior to application simply because you’ll find the texture works much better on a well hydrated surface and absorbs more easily. If your skin is oily no worries you’ll be covered but drier skin might wish to spend a little time moisturizing. It wears for a solid ten hours even in extra humid weather without fading or oxidizing. The color has a knack for staying fresh and natural through the wear and you aren’t left feeling like your face has gone dull or tired because your BB Cream has faded away. I blame the less than hydrating formula for this as it isn’t slipping off your face in extra hot weather. It has a knack for adhering to skin and staying put. I even swam in it and didn’t have a problem with it smearing away.

Overall, Shills Perfect Cover BB Cream is well liked around these parts. The texture is rich and creamy yet lightweight and breathable for the warmer weather. It wears well in warm weather with a strong hold and doesn’t provide any unnecessary moisture which makes it an ideal pick for long wear during warm, hot days!

I never heard of this brand. But the packaging looks so nice and it seems to be a perfect BB cream. I’ll look around if I can buy it somewhere else than sasa’s, because their orders always go to the customs and are stucked there :/ Nice review! Thanks!

Hey Muse, I know you’re on vacation, so whenever you get to answer this that’s fine – but was wondering what the ingredients were on this one? Specifically the kind of sunscreen actives?

    thanks!
