Skin Food Facial Ice Vita Mist Review

Skin Food Facial Ice Vita Mist

Skin Food Facial Ice Vita Mist keeps popping up with different packaging and formulations every so often that it is enough to confuse a girl! You might be familiar Facial Water Vita-AB– and C Mist which this kinda resembles in terms of formula.

All of these mists are made with a base of Alaskan Glacier Water, supposedly it’s pure glacier water! I just can’t understand where Korea is tapping it from…I mean do they have a huge glacier block melting in a warehouse somewhere? Or do they just go to Alaska for the water every time they wanna whip up a facial mist? Or do they use priority flat rate shipping and have the glaciers or water shipped to Skin Food HQ? I want in on the production process here.

Supposedly the water is enriched with oxygen, potassium, calcium, magnesium and other great beneficial skin loving minerals.

Shrug…

I’m not making this up.

Take a look!

Skin Food Facial Ice Vita Mist comes in a tiny aerosol bottle which like Skin Food Fresh Juice Toning Mist and Lettuce and Cucumber Water Mist. I personally prefer this packaging to the bottles with the attached spritzers as they deliver a finer mist which makes them ideal for touch ups, setting makeup, etc…don’t get me wrong the bottles are fine for evening use but they have a far strong spray which means they kinda drench your face. This style packaging means you get a finer mist which is ideal for carrying this around with you for a refreshing touch up without ruining your makeup or giving you a just soaked look.

I wouldn’t say there’s a ton of difference here if you already own or tried the Lettuce or Fresh Juice Mists. It smells quite the same with the traditional fresh sorta citrus-like scent that Skin Food uses for most all of its product. The only real difference is it has a rather refreshing cooling effect as you mist it on. This makes it a nice product to throw in your bag during a hot day out as you can refresh your make or just cool yourself off with a quick mist of this.

It’s rich in A, B, C, and E complex according to Skin Food.

I use it in the AM prior to moisturizer which allows better absorption of my skincare. I also use it to set my makeup if I’m wearing powder as this gives a dewy finish and smooths out any visible dryness from the powder I am wearing. And finally I just toss it in my bag and mist it on to freshen up my makeup as the day progresses as it gives me a dewy fresher appearance when misted on during the day!

It’s not an absolute must have but if you’re a fond fan of facial mists this is one to try! Cool, refreshing, and just the right amount of mist without drenching you!

Sasa.com carries the Skin Food Collection.

Anyone try this?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

I find it funny how they use Alaskan glacier water as a base for their mist since I, myself, am for Alaska. Lol

Ha! Me too. If I want glacier water I just drive 10 minutes and bring a bucket.

I know right? But that what makes the consumer buy those kind of products. I , for one, would be lured into buying this mist. Haha!

I WANT THE TRUTH! I want in on the production process too.

You are TOO funny. I literally laughed out loud in my hotel room (on a work trip) when reading the “priority flat rate shipping”! You continue to be THE BEST!!!!!

I was watching a Taiwanese talk show the other day, and they had a beauty guru (Niu Er) on that episode. They have a rule where they don’t say the name of the brand of the product they’re introducing on tv, but he mentioned a product that required something from Alaska waters as well. I can’t remember if it was a specific fish that lived in that area that has a type of enzyme/whatever/i don’t know or if it was the water itself at deep sea levels that has some sort of crazy micro-organisms. But apparently it’s a Japanese brand, and what they do is use the “stuff” from Alaska, but finish the product in Japan.

…I’m not sure if that made sense. I’m going to find that episode and watch it again because now I’m like “WTF was it?!?!?!?!” and it’s going to bother me forever.

… and my point above was to speculate if it was possibly something similar. Sorry for multi-post!

Hi, I was wondering is the smell similar to the Skinfood Vita Tok lipsticks? Sorry, I don’t know what their other products smell like, but apparently all their lipsticks have the same scent that gives me a headache…

Is it just me, or do those dew-drops with the glasses look like Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter? (Please forgive..it’s 4:30 AM and I can’t sleep, LOL) 🙂
