Topshop Lips Review & Swatches

Topshop Lips Lipstick

My first venture into Topshop make up and I’m happy to report back I likey! I recently tried the TopShop Lips Lipstick and if you’re a fond fan of creamy semi-matte formulated lipsticks you’re going to adore these.

And by the very way, did you know, that Nordstrom now carries Topshop Make up online (not sure about in store but a huge selection is available on Nordie’s site)? Coolness!

Let’s take a look at these lipsticks that made me hungry to try more TopShop Make up!

Topshop Lips

Charmed, All About Me, Whimsical

First off these come in a rather wicked tin tube…the packaging is weighty and has a luxe feel. Quite nice! They are a little pricey at $16 each so you might question that considering that’s very mid-range pricing however, the formula is well worth the price tag.

These are a super creamy semi-matte finished lipstick. They glide onto lips like buttery and do not have a dry texture in the least. They have a bit of sheen to the finish and provide full coverage with a rich, true to tube pigmentation. It’s really the color pay off that’s the most stunning here. I’m not sure why but I would not have never expected this much color from an in house brand. I was deeply surprised that a single stroke yields full coverage! The creaminess of the product feels a little heavier on lips but still wears fairly cushy and comfortable. They don’t dry out through the wear and have at least, without eating or drinking, a four hour wear with minor fading into hour five and a staining effect left behind at around hour six so color doesn’t completely disappears but leaves behind a rather lovely stain. The semi-matte finish doesn’t crack or dry out nor does it flake away however, brighter colors tend to want to migrate and feather so a little clear or colored lip liner is best applied to keep them on track.

I don’t typically like creams or matte lipsticks but TopShop surprises with their Lips line of lipsticks. They are well worth there $16 price tag and gain a healthy Muse Approval from yours truly.

I’d love to try Topshop lipsticks eventually! Good to know they’re worth it. None of these particular shades really interest me though.

Hey muse! :) the formula is not bad but the casing is bad! I placed mine in my makeup pouch for quite some time, and the paint just fell off/scraped off! And it became quite sticky and horrible to touch :(

OMGAWD! STOP! LMAO! These are freaking gorgeous on you and sound like they are right up my alley. I broke down last night and ordered urban decay catfight after much deliberation to narrow it to one color; I wanted almost all of them lol.
How does all about me compare to catfight? It looks kind of close.
I was also able to snag covet eye pencil for 1/2 price. Woo hoo!😍

I have the Lip Bullet lipstick in one shade and LOVE it. I also bought from Nordstrom’s all four shades of the Top Shop creme blush. I was thrilled to see that Nordstrom’s started to carry Top Shop. On the Top Shop website shipping would have been $10.00 (even for one item). Nordstrom’s shipping and returns is free. I LOVE all four creme blush shades. They are so pretty. The blush goes on nice and lasts most of the day. Top Shop did have two POWDER blush shades, but, unfortunately, they were discontinued. Seeing the shades online that were available and the good reviews, I don’t understand why they were discontinued. Both shades were very pretty, one a gorgeous coral, the other a pretty pink. I REALLY REALLY wish they would re-introduce the powder blush. I do have three of the lipsticks in my Nordstrom shopping bag. After reading your review, Muse, I think I have to place my order. LOL

Wow, Charmed doesn’t look nearly as orange on the lips as I thought it would! It looks like a very cute and wearable coral.

I was tempted to purchase a couple of these when I was in Vegas at their Fashion Show Mall Topshop, but I was doing a lot of walking outside and afraid they’d melt like the lipstick I was carrying did.

I’m glad to hear Nordstrom carries them now. Someday I may try them!
