The Benefit Matthew Williamson The Rich Is Back Palette teams up with international fashion designer Matthew Williamson to create this flash back to the glam days of disco with vibrant shades paired up with sexy gold for a disco fab look!
Take a peek!
I dunno if the Benefit Matthew Williamson The Rich Is Back Palette gives me the disco look but it does give my eyes a sultry look!
The set includes a deluxe size sample of Benefit They’re Real Mascara paired up with a ruby red Lipgloss entitled Inferno with a plush, glossy formula that resembles that of the Ultra Plush Lipgloss’s formula. You also get a Gimme Fever Cheek Powder (kinda reminds me a low key, lighter version of Dallas) as well as four stunning eyeshadows in natural shades of color including gold, brown, and a pop of teal!
Benefit completes this ensemble with a how to get the look guide with trips and tricks for application.
I’ve always been a fond fan of Benefit’s palette boxes like this as they always pair up some excellent products with some great formulas. The shadows here are soft, velvety, and easy to apply. They create a rather stunning little look that has a bit fun thrown in with the pop of teal I used in my look below within my outer crease. The shimmering glow of Gimme Fever Cheek Powder is a dusky shade of light bronze-y pink with a good dose of shimmer to create disco worthy cheeks (wink!). This soft, silky powder applies easily but be careful it is heavy on the shimmer so blend, blend, blend it out for the best finish possible. It is a bit sheerer as well so it doesn’t necessarily leave behind a lot of color but acts more as a highlighter.
Disco Dust, Feel So Teal, Get Down Brown, Solid Gold
I don’t the palette is huge on bells and whistles. It doesn’t contain 20+ eyeshadows and 4 blushes with mascara, gloss, and the whole world of beauty thrown in. It does however, include essentials with high quality formulas to create a few great looks with. Sometimes too much variety can kill a palette and this case Benefit focuses on simple yet dramatic. I really loved the way the shadows worked together! I’d never consider using teal blended into my outer crease with brown and gold but somehow, someway it works! I did sheer out the Inferno Lipgloss to a lighter finish as it was just a tad too red and thought it killed the look for me…! But outside of that I’d say the The Rich is Back is a fab little number.
This one shouldn’t be missed and gains a Muse Approval.
