Benefit Rockateur Cheek Powder Coming Soon!

Hey, kid, rock ‘n’ roll, rock on! Ooh, my soul Hey kid, boogie, too, did ya? Hey, shout, summertime blues Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes Hey, kid, rock ‘n’ roll, rock on!

While I was on holiday I went to this incredible pub that did all vintage rock musical requests. You basically wrote the artist and song on a paper, slipped it into the glass jar on top of the piano, and they’d randomly fish a paper out and rock out to whatever was on it. It was incredibly cool because the guy singing/playing the piano had a rather incredible voice. I was kinda all in my glory as he was doing all vintage rock which happens to be my favorite genre. Kansas, Journey, Blue Oyster Cult, Hagar, Queen, etc…you name it and this guy was rocking it. I was all kinds of excited as many of my requests were honored but that could be because I basically submitted like a hundred papers at a time, the guy was laughing himself silly at my requests.

He did a little David Essex as well. What no one really knows or appreciates is David’s great rock anthem Rock On was not written by Michael Damian (HUH!?). Contrary to some sort of odd idea this song isn’t Michael Damian’s song….insert rolling eyes here, seriously?!

Benefit Rockateur

Anyway, this reminded me of the fact that Benefit Rockateur is launching soon! Yes, a brand spanking new powder blush from Benefit. Am I excited? Hells to the yes!

Benefit Rockateur Cheek Powder

Benefit Rockateur Cheek Powder arrives August 20th just in time for Fall 2013. Another Benefit Box of Powder you say? YES! Benefit Rockateur will be a rose gold blush slash highlighter with a faceted design accented with gold.

Like all Benefit Powders it comes with a brush for application as well!

I can’t wait to try this one as I absolutely adore blushes laced with gold! Considering Benefit already has plenty of golden peaches such as Coralista I think it’ll be fab to add a lovely golden rose to their shade line up!

Benefit Rockateur arrives August 20th at www.benefitcosmetics.com

It is most definitely on my Fall 2013 wish list.

What do you think!?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I know!! It seems like makeup companies are constantly downsizing products😢

Sometimes the the actual weight/density of a powder is lighter or heavier than others used within a products range, so the weight may differ, but you get the same “amount” of product. For example, there are some MAC shadow formulas that have a different weight, yet they’re clearly in the same size pan. The fact this is a “highlighting” powder tells me it’s most likely a softer powder, and not as firmly pressed as a bronzer/blush product. The application is likely going to be different, as will be the brush, lest anyone packs on this shimmery powder.

I’ve been contemplating Hoola for a while, so this may push me to pick up both. I do want to see it in-store first, though. I’m normally turned off by benefit’s packaging/marketing, but this might just be pretty enough for me to overlook that!

GOLD? Did you say gold? Shoot… Now I have to buy yet another blush. They’re just so pretty! And pink! And I love the benefit boxes.
I totally got sucked into buying Nars Realm of the senses the other day. It was so worth it though! Since a gorgeous warm pink! Soulshine didn’t do it for me… Loved the way it looks packaged though.

I just bought “the rich is back”. Its on sale! Whoo hoo! Want this now too. It will never end, sigh….

Rockateur sounds so lame in French that I might just disregard this product… Why Benefit?? Why creating stupid sounding Frenchified words?
