Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Lotion Review & Swatches

Burt's Bees Radiance Day Lotion

Just a warning but I hate glow-y foundations and moisturizers so there has to be irony in the fact that I love Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Lotion. It contains royal jelly so it not only leaves skin super soft but also provides lightweight moisture for daily use with a natural, glowing radiant finish.

You’ll love this stuff!

Burt's Bees Radiance Day Lotion 3

Two issues with Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Lotion that I have to share but outside of that I freaking love this stuff. Issue 1, SPF…oh god…this contains an SPF 7….I can’t help but wince when I type that. I’d rather they not include any SPF at all. SPF 7? That’s really minimal. The second issue isn’t really an issue for me but sensitive skin users take note this is highly fragranced. It’s a delightful fragrance (I can’t pinpoint it but I think it kinda smells like Ralph) and I quite like it but if you’re sensitive to fragrances in your moisturizers just keep in mind this scent isn’t subtle.

The formula was created to enhance the skin’s natural radiance but it already has a smoothing glowing finish that gives skin a youthful glow. I dislike using it with makeup of any kind as I think the glow it produces can be overkill with too much makeup. I prefer it on a freshly scrubbed fair, out of the shower, and with the barest touch of a cheek stain. It gives my skin such a healthy no makeup glow and that along makes it well worth picking up.

Burt's Bees Radiance Day Lotion Swatches

It’s a thinner consistency that absorbs easily into my skin and leaves it delicately hydrated throughout the wear. It’s not heavy and remains weightless on my skin without creasing any excess grease or oil.

It’s kinda my new favorite product of the moment!

Do love!

It’s available now at retailers or online at www.burtsbees.com

Anyone try?

This looks interesting. I would love to have a natural glow on me without the use of Foundations and Luminizers. Thanks for the review, i think i’ll get this.

While the SPF is rather low, I think this may be a good option for me, given I spend as little time outdoors as humanly possible during daylight hours. I’m a stay-at-home-mom, so this could work for mornings I walk my little one to school (across the street, LOL). By the time I go to pick her up, I will have put on an MPF, with SPF, so that should be good enough for the less-than-15-minutes I’m outdoors. During the Summer, I will need more protection (long days at the park, pool, etc.), but this may be exactly what I’m looking for.

SPF 7 seems odd, but otherwise, I am SO going to be looking for this! I have had great luck with all the BB moisturizers I’ve tried.

Ralph is my favorite perfume! I’ve been wearing it since I was in like 6th grade! You saying it smells like that, plus the fact that it’s made by Burt’s Bees, definitely makes me want to try it out. I have oily skin and I’ve been looking for a good, lightweight moisturizer. 🙂

I’ve tried this product before, I really liked it. It came in a kit of mini samples I bought at target. I wish more cosmetic brands would take the hint and put more lotions in a pump packaging. Jars are awful for harboring bacteria. But I agree Muse this product/moisturizer is fabulous!

I just picked this up and on day one, I love it. Thanks for the re iew. This is so moisturizing that I don’t think I need another to layer with it. I think this is perfect for reapplying through the day. I live in Florida and bake in the sun during my commute. But I applied this and reapplied on my commute this morning and got instant relief. The physical blocker did a great job protecting my skin because it made the places I applied it feel immediately cooler after applying it. I love putting it on which is most important in a natural product. I can finally toss my Badger Balm SPF which is comparatively like putting clay on myface (though that is good for windy days at the beach).

Great moisturizer; will definitely purchase again. It keeps my skin hydrated and moisturized. I don’t mind the SPF 7 as it’s winter right now, but during warmer months I will purchase a different moisturizer. I highly recommeond.
