E.L.F. Studio HD Mattifying Cream Foundation for Fall 2013

E.L.F. Studio HD Mattifying Cream Foundation

Cream foundation is on the rise for Fall and of course, E.L.F. Studio HD Mattifying Cream Foundation gets a launch for Fall 2013 to get in on that trend.

NARS has already introduced their Radiant Cream Foundation plus Cargo and a Lorac have their own versions upcoming!

But those on a beauty budget might just want to pick up the E.L.F. Studio HD Mattifying Cream Foundation that will set you back a mere $6.

E.L.F. Studio HD Mattifying Cream Foundation is available in six shades with an oil-free foundation that’s lightweight and provides a high definition finish in a cream to powder formula.

The formula promises long lasting coverage that minimizes the appearance of larger pores and fine lines while providing a matte finish.

I wouldn’t say you could compare it to the new NARS Radiant Cream Foundation but if you’re on a budget it might prove a great pick to embrace the cream to powder foundation trend upcoming for Fall and Winter.

Personally I’m not a cream pan foundation fan but if you are you’ll likely be happy with this offering.

I first saw this on the Elf site last week, and I’m definitely intrigued! Will probably wait for cooler weather to try it out, but it’s interesting, for sure. 🙂

I was so excited about this one, but then I saw the shade range, there is no possible way I can use this as a foundation. Even when it’s summer and my skin is a bit darker than usual, the lightest shade looks still too dark 🙁 disappointment…

The ELF website is notoriously bad in terms of accurate reproduction of the shades for all of its products. Whether Target will carry this product in their stores is unknown, but if they do not, it’s only a matter of time before someone posts swatches of the different shades online. I suspect the Porcelain shade is considerably lighter than what is shown on the ELF website.

Cream to powder… hmmm. I’ve been avoiding ELF’s website because I’m long over due for an ELF haul, but this just might have put me over the edge.

I’m going to get this when E.L.F. has the next 1/2 off sale. I do like cream-to-powder foundations, as long as they don’t dry too powdery. I have normal-to-dry skin that tends to flake a little in the fall/winter.

I saw this the other night as I was browsing and was curious. After reading some comments about the shades though I might grab the lightest as I too was thinking it was wayyy to dark.
I’m so pale with cool undertones, I have to go get color matched lol –no one ever has my shade.

Are Cargo and Lorac’s also going to be cream compacts? I pretty much like two types of base product: asian BB cream and cream foundation. But I like the whipped, softer foundations and not the thicker compact ones. I wouldn’t mind stepping up to a higher end foundation, my current cream foundation is the one CoverGirl just came out with, but if everyone’s coming out with this type…I might just have to buy the next lighter shade in CoverGirl’s formula and use that in the winter! XD

I just got this foundation last week. I ordered two shades because A) elf’s website does not accurately reflect the color of many of their products and B) I was worried I was between shades. The foundations are both a lot lighter than they appear on the site and sand was perfect for me. I am using porcelain as a highlight. This foundation is light and does not dry too powdery. I love it. I will definitely, maybe high definitely lol, buy it, again.
