L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Color Review & Swatches
L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Matte Velvety Full Coverage Lip Colour is one of two new lip pencils introduced by L’Oreal for the Fall 2013 season. Actually when I purchased the L’Oreal Colour Ruche Le Matte Lip Color Pencil I thought it was a click pen liquid formula! They look like it right?
Turns out these are a twist up pencil! Well duh!
Take a look!
L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Color is a matte color twist up lip color pencil that L’Oreal has introduced in a matte finish as well as a lacquer, glossy one (review on that finish coming soon). These have an easy to twist up pencil design and a slanted tip that applies easily on lips and allows you to not only fill but line lips as well!
The pencil is richly pigmented with an incredible formula that’s comfortable to wear. I was shocked as I dislike matte lipsticks or lip colors of any kind but I found L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Color fairly easily to wear. It has a soft almost satiny matte finish that doesn’t migrate during the wear. Color remains true to color and intense without fading for a solid five hours and doesn’t easily transfer either. I didn’t feel like the color was drying my lips out nor did it feather or creep around my lip line. During the wear my lips felt pleasantly hydrated, nothing too moisture but not dry either, and the formula had a lightweight barely there texture that was pleasant and not the least bit uncomfortable. The formula had no fragrance or flavor.
I tried the shade Matte-r of Fact which is a lighter berry wine burgundy. One thing I disliked about the color was I felt like it was a little too dark and left my inner lip line bare no matter how much I applied…so my lips had this very perfect color presence as long as they remained closed but upon opening my mouth it was obvious the color didn’t reach to my inner lips. This kinda looked weird….this isn’t really an issue with the formula just the application I guess so perhaps using a lip brush to get the color evenly applied will get you the best finish.
Overall, as a non-matte girl I’d recommend checking these out. The formula is quite lovely and well worth the pick up! L’Oreal Color Riche Le Matte Lip Color gain a Muse Approval.
